Sadly, the train incident whereby that 17-year old Syrian migrant was shot dead carrying an ax on board, will merely fuel racists, bigots, anti-immigrant Pegidists and AfD supporters country wide. Most likely he did intend to do considerable damage, but now we'll never know for certain.

Unfortunate - maybe. But sadly? As in it is sad the politicians are incapable of doing their jobs effectively. Many of these Western-European parties are populist, thus their ideals move according to general popularity at the time.

Populism throughout much of Europe, from Scandinavia down through even Greece etc.. is quite similar to Nativism in the US. Trump's running mate Mike Pence considers himself an "America Firster". The latter has a valiant tradition in American politics, attracting even a few stray later civil rights liberals, no less, e.g. Norman Thomas and others:-)

That was at Christmas/New Year if I remember correctly. Drink and drugs were involved. The incident in Bielany seems to have been deliberate but as far as I know there are no definite conclusions.

Here in Poland people are quite sensitive now, not just because of the news from France etc but also because of the Catholic Youth Festival in Kraków and the warnings about security issues. There was an issue on a plane a couple of days ago, on WizzAir. A passenger falsely alleged that another passenger was a terrorist due to his complexion. In fact he was a Polish citizen who was born in Armenia but had lived here since he was 3 - the police did apologise to him.

Worth mentioning that the number of people living here who come from the Middle East and there has never been a problem at all.

An interesting article I read by a gentleman apparently of Arab descent (but translated from the French!) seems to claim that France is her own worst enemy in terms of why such attacks as happened most recently in Nice, several months prior in Paris, and then the Charlie Hebedo horror etc. continue to happen above all in France, not Germany, England, Sweden, Denmark, Holland or other countries with significant Muslim immigrant populations.

France makes an almost manichean distinction between Church and State, more than any other nation, this then polarizing those non-indigenous ethnic groups within the country who feel disenfranchised by the the Catholic state and overarchingly Christian-French culture, even if only nominal.

Furthermore, unlike say, Germany or the Scandinavian countries, France had large non-white colonies for centuries, was therefore used to incorporationg, though not necessarily INTEGRATING, these diverse French-speaking non-Christians into their midst.

Now, it seems, it's payback time and France is feeling the full brunt of her traditional "openness":-)

The history books (unless Muslims prohibit them altogether) will read that Western Europeans not only invited their demographic & cultural replacements but even paid and taught them how to breed with the Native women.

My frustration has shifted from: we must help save our fellow Europeans, to instead today: we can profit from the ensuing White Flight to the East.

As the low IQ migrants are illustrating: you can't fix stupid. Maybe Western Europeans are too gullible for the Age of Information. Won't be the first or last civilization to perish.

Basically they work on the integrationist model but the intended benefits of that model don't reach the banlieus, hence a huge amount of resentment among those who get the worst of both worlds. I would be angry too.

I'm sure there's discrimination but.... it's not a one way street.

Part of the problem is that the French model doesn't provide a suitable identity to middle easterners and africans and so they cling to their non-French identity (and the more they do that the poorer they become so that eventually integration and success is seen a sign of selling out and betraying your group). It's a vicious circle.

One problem among many is that the Maghrebien population in France often do integrate but still don't get the benefits of that integration, particularly where certain sectors of the indigenous population are concerned.

As Polish born but grew up in the USA, I say boo-hoo. I was placed in Spanish taught English as 2nd language classes, bullied and jumped by ethnics.

I never had the urge to stab, rape or murder. Their religion gives them an easy scapegoat and promises of after life. The religion is the problem. IE Bin Laden cane from royalty and studied in Switzerland. The recent axe on train attack involved a kid that I quote " According to the press, a family had befriended him and he had good prospects of begining an apprenticeship. He could have had a good life here in Germany"

Who isn't feeling jaded about current day life? More $$$ and toys is not gonna lighten up Muslims. They view wealth and our everyday rights as sins. Germans newest brilliant idea: we need more Islamic teaching in school to "re-brainwash" them evidently

Because, Ziemowit, Poland is becoming ever more vulnerable to Syrian migrants, uncritically allowed into the country, many of whom MAY, just MAY, have ties to ISIS, that's why:-)

Unlikely, as a German journalist on CNN reported the gunman spoke unaccented German and was railing out against foreigners, presumably Muslims:-)
