Ukraine Crisis... Poland... and the way i see it

ironclad proof

I notice you require ironclad proof here, but in another thread you suggest chemicals are put in water to "make people submissive" without offering proof, "ironclad" or otherwise. Also you've written favourably about 9/11 conspiracy theories

Now I'm not accusing you of hypocrisy or double standards, but you do seem to be holding this dodgy recording from the KGB to a higher standard of proof than your own nations's word.

Barney has provided no proof

This is how it works, I said something referring to a leaked recording you said the recording was edited so I asked for proof that the recording was manipulated. So far you have not provided anything approaching evidence, tweets and pub talk are not evidence.

You have a conspiracy theory but no evidence to support it.

So Barney, any chance you can support your claim that the tracking and hacking of Ukrainian politicians' phones was the work of one man? Or is that just up there with your 'bombs placed in video arcades isn't terrorism' lie?

f stop

from the article you posted:

"We don't know that Putin went into Crimea. We literally don't know. We're talking about "facts" that are coming out of Kiev, which is a mass of disinformation."

wow just wow fstop.... seriously we don't know THAT. Ehm, I do rest my case... I guess Crimea just annexed itself to Russia lol.

As a product of PRL (I assume that is what you are) you should be aware of what Russian domination spells for a country. Vladimir Putin, a KGB officer who'd made his career in DDR (hands down the most cvntish of all former soviet satellites), who openly stated that the dissolution of Soviet Union was Russia's biggest mistake, who also stated that Ukraine is not a state... he, according to you, should be the outmost authority on the future of Ukrainian people... because as you put it you weren't certain Ukrainian leaders would do right by their people... just wow

Any chance of staying on topic and providing some proof for your conspiracy theory?

Also, any chance you can support your claim that the tracking and hacking of Ukrainian politicians' phones was the work of one man?

That is not true it's dishonest to say that.

Wrong is wrong.

What you perceive to be wrong comes from the News sources which you choose to believe. From what ive seen Russia was right to annex Crimea. With regard to the ongoing Ukraine issue, are there any news outlets which don't have a dog in the fight?

In December 2013, then-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich made a decision that seems radical only because we have been trained to believe that national indebtedness to foreign institutions is the natural order of things: After telling EU's officials that he intended to sign the European association agreement, Yanukovich sent shock waves across the Western world when he suddenly reversed his decision (Until now, only Iceland has had the courage to say 'no' to western liberal reformers and their massive cash injections since the bottom fell out of the global economy in 2008).

No sooner had Yanukovich adjusted his reading glasses to read the fine-print conditions on the EU-IMF agreement, US Senator John McCain was in central Kiev, agitating the local populace with boilerplate promises of a debt-free future while shaking hands and kissing so many babies you'd think he was running for the Ukrainian presidency.

I wish people wouldn't keep repeating this. Its ********, Iceland never say no to 'western liberal reformers' (WTF is that? I assume bankers and the IMF).

Iceland took the IMF loan and tried to pay back the international lenders. Iceland bent over backwards to look after the bankers, and their economy is still screwed because of capital controls which they can't remove.

What is actually going on in Iceland
Posted on 29 December 2012 by Baldur Bjarnason (@fakebaldur)
Because I'm tired of you people spreading untruths

Since people continue to spread the factually dubious statement that Iceland "told creditors & IMF to go jump, nationalised banks, arrested the fraudsters, gave debt relief and is now growing very strongly, thanks" I find I have to write this here thing.

(This specific example comes from twitter but is almost identical, word for word, to the standard 'Iceland is an economic utopia' mantra that is being repeated ad nauseam.)

Because, for some reason, people won't believe Icelanders when they say that the above is not quite the reality as most Icelanders experience it.

In US media, those that want to join the russian federation are dismissed as Putin's peons, and the embattled patriotic Ukrainians have to choice but to lay down their lives for their country.
As usual, the truth is somewhere in the middle, but no voice is given to the average denizen of Ukraine, whois scared of war, worries about food and heat, and doesn't really give a fvck what is the mane of the person on top of the ruling party, as long as there are no bombers flying overhead.

f stop, what choice are you talking about? How can you hear a choice of an average Ukrainian from the eastern regions if Russian special forces with weapons occupy the cities in the eastern Ukraine? How can you talk about no bombers if the country is invaded by the foreign army? If it is difficult for you to imagine the situation, let me explain it to you on the southern US, where you live. Imagine that your city is invaded by the Russians, armed men are freely walking on the streets (according to a journalist-witness, they are threatening the locals, some are drunk), most of the people are scared, your voice is nothing unless it goes in line with the demands of the aggressors and they demand your city and the whole region to be annexed to Russia. And now imagine me, comfortably sitting somewhere on the other end of the world and saying: f stop, I read so much biased stuff about the Russians in the south of US, we have to hear the voice of the average American, etc. You know, you may hate me, your government, whatever it might be, but at least try to see things to a reasonable degree objective. Nothing is an absolute truth, but the truth cannot for sure be on the side of Russia which invades Ukraine. There is no excuse whatsoever. Do we at least agree on this one?

Ukraine is a pawn in a game. Lack of understanding of both sides is a part of the problem, and exactly what both sides are want; a flight.

What is so horrible about Ukraine getting annexed? Is economic situation in Ukraine better than in Russia? Does Ukraine has a better track record governing itself? You are probably too young to remember your Ukrainian patriots pi$$ing and moaning when the official language was changing from Russian to Ukrainian. In 10-20 years, political and economic situation will be so different, none of this will matter. Not worth one single solitary life.

...........What is so horrible about Ukraine getting annexed?...............

Hmm, a country (any country) losing its independence is always horrible.

How did you feel about it back then, when Poland was practically occupied by the Soviets?

Instead of wasting all this energy on primitive tribal sentiments, we should all be working towards global solutions. Nationalism hinders us all.

What is so horrible about Ukraine getting annexed? Is economic situation in Ukraine better than in Russia?

What is horrible about being invaded by the foreign army and having part of your country forcefully, without referendum, without any discussion of the citizens of the country and not of those who are foreigners? What economic situation has to do with the foreign invasion and annexation? Should Germany invade Austria, just because the latter is less better off?

Does Ukraine has a better track record governing itself?

Was there any problem the last 20 years? And again what it has to do with the foreign invasion?

You are probably too young to remember your Ukrainian patriots pi$$ing and moaning when the official language was changing from Russian to Ukrainian.

No, I remember. I might not be as old as you are, but I remember. Nobody was moaning. We have our official Ukrainian language and all the minority languages are protected according to the European laws. Russian has a status of a regional language.

In 10-20 years, political and economic situation will be so different, none of this will matter. Not worth one single solitary life.

Look at the Russians and the way they live. Take your bum and go to Russia for a month. Not to Moscow, but somewhere within 100 km from it and you will see both economic and political situation there.

Listen, I don't ask you much. You may write again some philosophy of yours. And it can be endless. I have already asked you to please give me an answer: Is it Ok to invade another country as Russia does, with armed soldiers and forcefully annex its territory?

f stop, ahhh I'm assuming that post was meant for someone else.If the Ukrainians can't decide their own future and say.... be annexed by Russia...Then it is quite clear who their master will be.Or they can work with the EU and be yoked by that master. So it really does matter what flag that they fly. They should fly their very own.

Probably not.

Probably? What about being raped? Is it too probably not right?

Why are they invading?

Why are low lives raping people?

Regardless, people getting ready to die over which flag gets stuck in the ground is sheer stupidity.

Would you like to live in the US or North Korea? Believe me, here you tap with the painted fingernails on the keyboard and write thoughtless crepe and tomorrow you will have a worriless day, except for the concern where to buy new tights or which soap opera to watch. There you would have been faceless nothing serving to some pathetic fat sh*t. You would be famished, frightened, scared to your bones and simply existing as are millions of the North Koreans. This is what the flag is about.

Doing the right thing is more about being kind and compassionate than some misplaced allegiance to a particular government.

Are you really so ignorant about this part of the world that you in any way associate the words 'kind' and 'compassionate' with the Russian regime?

Any chance of staying on topic and providing some proof for your conspiracy theory?

Happy to do that, straight after you provide some evidence that the lady said what you claim she said.

That is not true it's dishonest to say that.

Are you saying that the tracing and hacking of the phones of Ukrainian politicians was the work of a single man or the result of a conspiracy? It's an either/or question. But it's one that you refuse to answer, because we all know what the answer was.

Barney
15 Apr 2014  #539

Happy to do that, straight after you provide some evidence that the lady said what you claim she said.

I did, the recording you claim is doctored. All I asked for is evidence for your conspiracy not tweets or pub talk, so far you have offered exactly nothing in the way of proof for your claim.

Are you saying that the tracing and hacking of the phones of Ukrainian politicians was the work of a single man or the result of a conspiracy?

I don't have a conspiracy, I never speculated on anything Its dishonest to suggest I did. Your additional proof free speculation is some scenario you have in your mind. I cant answer the internal workings of your head

I just would like you to provide proof for your allegation.

Harry
15 Apr 2014  #540

I did, the recording you claim is doctored.

She denies it is accurate. Who should we believe: a propaganda machine which has been caught lying repeatedly or a well-respected politician? Your 'evidence' is nothing of the sort, especially when it's being offered to us by somebody who has been caught lying about Ukrainian politicians as often as you have.

I don't have a conspiracy

And yet again you refuse to answer the question of whether the tracing and hacking of the phones of Ukrainian politicians was the work of a single man or the result of a conspiracy. But by now we all know why you are refusing to answer it: it's because you know that it was the work of more than one man and was thus the result of a conspiracy. But if you refuse to admit that it was a conspiracy, your claim that what could be achieved by a small child with 50-year old technology must be the work of a conspiracy becomes even more laughable.

I cant answer the internal workings of your head

But you most certainly can try trolling in order to take the discussion off topic and get it binned, as you have proved repeated over the last few days. Good luck with that.
