And its this kind of bull$hit that keeps me in Poland. You can complain all you want about why you left Poland, but one thing is for sure, you dont have to deal with that kind of insanity here. Homeless tent cities wont happen in Poland. Property owners rights wont become problems in Poland. Drug addiction, murder, rape, and all the other rampant crime sprees wont be a problem in Poland. The United States was a beacon of light for the entire world up until about 25 years ago when things started going down hill. A shame it has been brought to this because of special interests and mental disorders.

I dont like being right. I really wonder where, and why it just started going off the rails. I have come to believe it began with the invention and explosion of the internet. Designed for commerce and trade, it quickly became just a place for bull$hit. I also think the video game industry and selling violence has had a dramtic impact on American youth. You dont see the video game addiction to killing in Europe. In Europe the kids want to play games online, not kill everyone.

What you're talking about is something people have been talking about since the start of the 1900s - American Decadence. Every generation seems to think that things had been better before (except those blessed souls born between 1945 and 1955). This way of thinking, has a name and it's "rosy retrospectivism". Since no one has a Time Machine that would allow them to go back into the past and prove that the past was also sh!t, it's fairly easy to continue going around making pronouncements about how everything has gone to hell.

I could give you a myriad examples of how America is still at the peak of its prosperity, how its people are working more efficiently than ever, how its military remains unbeatable, etc.

On the other hand, one could cite worrying statistics about increasing infant mortality, a shortening life expectancy, a yawning income inequality gap, exploding divorce rates, spiraling mental health problems, etc.

Things have never been so good, and they have never been so bad. Bottom line: it's a thankless task "calling the bottom". The bottom is something that can only be appreciated in retrospect.

Many good points. Then again, money was still being made by some during the depression as well. Not everyone was in a bread line. Income inequality is something that will always be, unless the far left goes so far as to destroy a free market economy and takes the country into a quasi communist state.

Making money, working and things relating to the economy are details that just dont get to what I believe is a mental disorder or cognitive decline. The country is getting so caught up in "peoples rights" and how to allow nearly everything to happen because of those rights, that the moral compass has been thrown out the window.

Average people are not jealous, but they can see when they are getting the raw end of the deal. All the conversations about "Deep States", "1%", "System is Rigged" are just symptoms of this general disenfranchisement of a formerly proud middle class.
