You make strong points. My statement was very general. Rich get richer. And I agree that it is out of control. But, we as a society do it to ourselves. The Kardashians for example. Every idiot in the US made them billionaires, and now they complain about how they live such crazy lifestyles. Bill Gates is a dangerous man in my opinion because his wealth and power is really going unchecked now. The latest? MNRA vaccines for livestock. Who is the largest farm land owner in the US? While I do not believe in a global conspiracy because someone would fvck it up, I do believe the system is designed to limit the ability of most people to reach their goals. Personaly, I know I got lucky with my business, with the right ideas at the right time, if not, it wouldnt have worked out for me. Lots of people miss the timing aspect of things not because they dont try, but because they dont see how critical timing is.

The American experiment is in trouble. People on both sides of things have gone too far, and special interests are dug in too deep. Those same special interests are those who buy up all the farm land, produce MNRA and all the other drugs people need. Its a vicious cycle.

My great grandmother was still alive when I was a child. She's the only person from my family that I had ever met, who had any recollection of what it meant being a noble. Well guess what? She was one of the most intolerant, racist, hateful persons I had ever met. Her attitude towards our compatriots that served her, was probably along the same lines as what was felt by a Southern plantation owner towards a ***** that picked cotton.

After reading about Ireland earlier this week, I have to admit that Ireland is better than most Western "democracies" in this respect. Even the UK is higher than the US on the democratic scale.

A while back, I talked to a Swiss guy at their consulate to find out how their referenda work. He told me that out of six attempts to raise taxes, five were nixed by referendum voters - directly and without waiting till the next election day.

I was in awe...people being able to control their government...How un-American...
