Technically I think most historically African American churches are evangelical (having been largely shaped by the 19th century "holiness" movement) but that's also one of the forms of faith that resonates most strongly with me. I used to go to sleep listening to recorded sermons from AA churches (weirdness related to AM radio in the US at the time).

I'm basically incapable of religious faith (left out of my makeup) but I have a special affection for services like this:
