USA News and Poland - part 19

Ironside

You've never set foot here

You know that for a fact, don't you? I think it is the most retarded thing I have ever seen to this day on PF. On one hand you claim I haven't been in the US, so I I don't know anything and I'm not allowed to comment about anything concerning the US.
On the other hand, you can comment feely about Europe, Poland and general state of affairs in those places, you can even comment on a individual poster because you know everything, you are omnisend.
Are you sure you are not Jewish with those double standards?
Get a grip moron. I insult you because you refuse to engage in debate here.
You make some claims and insult people then you are gone. The next time you came back it just to whine about insults aimed at you.
You deserve them.
I haven't seen you once posting any serious or less serious argument on your support of anything.
Why do you support war on Iran? I don't know, nobody knows.
I guess you are one of those few morons in the US who are personally loyal to Trump and even if he would sh't on your face and ask you for the toilet paper you would still feel blessed.
Sorry, such a personality cult is not my forte.
---
That's your comeback?

Look, I make those jokes because that it the only language you understand and respond to. I made another comment on the same subject, You ignored it, as you always do because comments that are out of the playground level go over you head.
I said that your claim is not factual and even if it was factual it doesn't constitute an argument. It just an unrelated fact. You made it sound like is some heavy final wining argument for you.
You are ridiculus, people like you are exactly that kind I descried in my joke, they know their ass and not much more.
I guess you will ignore it too, or post something - he he you insult me and post nosense, it means I won.
Sure moron, you have another golden star for your collection.
Every time you made a fool out of yourself, you feel like a winner, that is the way to go.

Europe is Fked! They are losing their heritage everyday.

And, America isn't?

Like Iron says debate on merit and substance-not Fox News talking points; unless you want to be the Sean Hannity of PF...which would mean being a self-righteous moronic puppet.

I posed the following questions in a previous post, I'm interested to hear substantive answers:

To my fellow Yanks who remain pro-Trump (something I do not begrudge, BTW)

1. Other than sealing the border, what are the other positive outcomes from Trump's 2nd term in your estimation?

2. What positives do you see coming from this Iranian thing? Any negatives?

3. Do you have any criticisms of Trump's 2nd go-round?

Bobko

what are the other positive outcomes from Trump's 2nd term in your estimation?

Not a fellow Yank... but here's my list:

1) I like that he shut down USAID. Maybe the org was doing life saving work in Africa or Asia, but in the former Soviet Union it was engaged in retarded work, while compensating its contractors and employees with hundreds of thousands of dollars in salaries.

2) I like that he reengaged with Russia, after the dead-end policy approach of the Biden administration. Alaska maybe didn't bring much in terms of results, but it's still important that people are talking to each other again.

3) I like that he stopped providing a cart blanche to Ukraine, and started demanding things as well.

4) I like that him and Pete Hegseth are insisting that companies like Raytheon and Lockheed actually invest profits into expanding production of armaments, rather than directing the lion's share of them towards stock buybacks to prop up their valuations.

5) I like what him and Rubio are saying about streamlining merit-based immigration, though there may be little in the way of practical results at this point in time (except for the Golden Trump visa or whatever it's called).

6) This is sort of self serving... but I enjoy very much how he has gutted the IRS and slashed a lot of regulation in my sector. This may not be to the benefit of the average American over the long term, but it's nice for me.

Other than these few good things - I hate pretty much everything the man has done.

1) Tariffs - retarded.

2) Attacking the Fed - retarded.

3) Attacking Comey, SC judges, individual Senators, and a million other people through threats of criminal prosecution - retarded.

4) Making noises about Greenland and the Panama Canal - retarded.

5) Trying to cap credit card rates - retarded

6) Making most foreign policy predicated on whether or not this will make Don Jr, Eric, and Jared even richer - retarded

+ 100 other items

Golden Cow is off his meds again. The senile loser is back on his fake ass tariff bus and wants new charges on EU cars and trucks

Bad move announcing that on Majowka - beautiful weather here and he will back down by Tuesday anyway

Learn from Bobko people. He gives substance.

@Bobko

Well, you are Yank-ish. Solid list.

I'm not crazy about the H1B push; my gut and some of the data tells me we have enough homegrown talent. Besides, who knows how AI will affect the jobs these visa holders will be coming over to fill; and, once they're here.

The purging of IRS and other agencies is good in theory. In practice, it's shown to be a disaster that doesn't serve Americans. What the purges have actually caused is more bureaucracy, less of a knowledge base (many seasoned knowledgable workers left taking that knowledge with them), and less efficiency. The laws and procedures need to change to accommodate the downsizing-it hasn't changed for the better. The Trump admin has created more bureaucracy, not less. Its a sh!tshow from what I can tell.

@cms neuf

The only discernible difference between you and Joker is your accent.

I'm not crazy about the H1B push

After I exhausted my OPT waiver, my first visa was an H1-B. I probably spent 5 years on it (out of the 6 years I think I was allowed).

For some stupid reason which I struggle to reconstruct now, I decided not to go through the labor certification process which would have ended in me getting a green card. Instead, I transitioned to an E-2 (Treaty Trader visa).

Other than my little old self, such people as Elon Musk (for example), also initially arrived in this country through an H1-B.

The problem with the visa, is that 85% of them get given out to Indians. They ought to definitely be punished. The visa operates under a quota of 65,000 (didn't check). India should simply be turned off and then readmitted under a trial program that would last indefinitely or until compliance was established.

In practice, it's shown to be a disaster

If I were running for office, or.... had at least residency - I would care. At the moment - I feel I would be an idiot to complain. Most of my New York peers are similarly dancing the flamenco and clapping their hands. I'm no saint to be the one guy to sit down in a corner and pour ashes over my head while the rest are doing keg stands.

@Bobko

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with the H1B per se. It's the scale I have a problem with.

ALL?

What about the ones who come and start businesses and contribute positively to American society? As an actual American, I want them to stay and become citizens.

Yeah, all and whilst they're about it chuck out all the Chinese and Arabs too.....

Make Chinese birth tourism illegal and revoke the citizenship of all their children.

Dont allow Chinese to purchase any farmland in the USA as well.

End birthrigt citizenship for children of non-citizens

That would be a major constitutional issue. Not sure it would survive a court challenge.

Having said that, just because non-citizens gave birth to a US citizen doesn't mean that the parents shouldn't be deported. It's not like they leave the baby behind-baby goes with parents back to home country. If kid wants to come live in US as an adult..cool.
Dont allow Chinese to purchase any farmland in the USA as well.

That's a grand idea. Wish Trump made anniasue of it.
Yeah, all and whilst they're about it chuck out all the Chinese and Arabs too.....

Why? Get rid of some, or even a majority, yeah, maybe. But, all? Not all are bad people doing bad things. Some are quite good doing good things. My dermatologist is Chinese. She's good, loves America, is productive...and cute too.

Got a couple Arab christian families in my parish...fine people.

Poland is the best counrty in Europe

Remember back about ten years ago when I posted that Poland in the near future would be the Gem of Europe ?
amiga500 said it best in another thread.
quoting:
Today, Poland's GDP has crossed $1.1 trillion - growing 17 times in just 35 years.
That is the longest uninterrupted economic expansion in European history. No recession. No collapse. Just growth.
No oil. No gas. No natural resources. Just hard work, smart policy, and a refusal to give up.

And may I add keeping the majority of immigration from Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Belarus and other predominantly White countries that speak a similar language.
Once Poland establishes a decent healthcare system they will surpass the rest of the E.U. hands down.

A lot of water will flow down the Vistula before this happens. For now, even poor Spaniards earn more than Poles. Which does not change the fact that, thanks to the EU, Poland is making incredible progress in all areas.

"The Pentagon said on Friday it had reached agreements with seven leading artificial intelligence (AI) companies: SpaceX, OpenAI, Google, Nvidia, Reflection, Microsoft and Amazon Web Services."

Yet again, it is designed to screw American taxpayers. This legal announcement was needed to bail these companies out when they run out of cash later this year. AI is now a "national security" so - just like "too big to fall" banks - they will get paid while the rest will suffer.

All Russians should be kicked out of America..... pronto...

List of Russian-Americans:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Russian_Americans?wprov=sfti1

Just two examples - Igor Sikorsky (father of helicopters) and Sergei Brin (co-founder of Google).

Several dozen of America's Nobel laureates had Russian roots...

Hollywood had largely been built by Russian Jews.

In American music and in literature Russians played a huge role. Rachmaninov, Stravinsky, Asimov, Nabokov, Rand, Brodsky...

-//-

Your wishes fulfilled - and America is a much poorer and less interesting country.

whilst they're about it chuck out all the Chinese and Arabs too.....

A Chinese man has created America's most valuable company - Nvidia. This company alone is worth more than 5 Polish GDPs.

Chinese men also founded Yahoo, YouTube (your favorite company), Zoom, AMD, Broadcom, and DoorDash.

-//-

Arabs are all different, but the Lebanese and Egyptians are hugely influential in US business and even politics.

-//-

Bottom line - you are once again confirmed to be an idiot.

If you want to discuss the UK - then rich Russians and rich Arabs are one of the key things that had propped up your law firms and financiers throughout the 2000s.... Not to mention your real estate market.

Bobko
2 May 2026  #799

All Russians should be kicked out of America...

Sorry for the double post - but this phrasing is really irritating to me.

It implies that being in America is some kind of a gift or privilege. As if America is some Garden of Eden.

If you hold America in such high esteem, that you are bent on protecting its Aryan makeup all the way from the UK.... then why don't you just move to America?

You are not some Afghan or Libyan - it should be reasonably easy for you to make the move.

-//-

Being in America is not a gift for *everyone*.

For many it is actually a sacrifice.

For others yet, it is a business transaction: 1) I give you my time, labor, and health, (2) and you give me in return wealth.

Miloslaw
2 May 2026  #800

If you hold America in such high esteem, that you are bent on protecting its Aryan makeup..

Where in the hell did you get the idea that I hold America in such high esteem?I think America is great in many aspects but crap in many others too.
As for my protecting it's Aryan makeup? You must be kidding?Firstly, I am no supporter of Aryanism and secondly, America is so multicultural that it cannot be regarded as an Aryan state.
I think that Russians and Chinese both in Europe and America are a threat to our civilisations.

For others yet, it is a business transaction: 1) I give you my time, labor, and health and you give me in return wealth..

But why is that a good deal for America(Or Europe for that matter)?
We, for good reasons do not trust Russians or Chinese.
Chuck them all out!

Spirit, the airline of choice for white trash and poor niggas like joker has ceased operations because of the oil prices. hopefully when people armm can't visit their dying grandma they will direct their anger at Trump.

WTF? Are you getting paid for spreading those lies. Is that a sponsored add?
Poland is making it in spite of the EU, otherwise all other countries that joined the EU with Poland would make that progess too.

jon357
3 May 2026  #804

in spite of the EU

"In spite of'??

otherwise all other countries that joined the EU with Poland

Those with smaller economies.

Bobko
3 May 2026  #805

But why is that a good deal for America(Or Europe for that matter)?

Why is it not a good deal?

You want me to spend the best years of my life working like a slave, degrading my health, and missing out on all the opportunities back home - not to mention missing my family - and in exchange for all this to get nothing in return?

America gets:

1) My taxes

2) My employees payroll taxes

3) Employment and revenues for all the contractors and vendors I employ

4) Demand for inputs up and down the supply chain (nearly everything I use is American in origin)

... and so on and so forth.

-//-

If one day, I take everything I made, and take it back to my home country - why should America be "upset"?

When a Russian oligarch robs Russians dry, and pours it all into a nice house in Knighstbridge or Mayfair - I don't hear you complaining.

When some Russian, educated by Russia, fed by Russia, raised by Russia - leaves and starts Europe's leading fintech company (Revolut) - you don't complain.

When the top individual taxpayer in Britain is a Russian (Gerko), and the top philanthropist for British academia is Russian - I don't hear you complain.

-//-

By the time I leave, America would have gotten much more from me, than I got from it.

Miloslaw
3 May 2026  #806

You want me to spend the best years of my life working like a slave, degrading my health..

Yes, because you are a Russian and that's all you deserve.

Revolut have been accused of many faults in it's business management and treatment of employees....typical Russians....

As for Gerko, he was born in Russia and renounced his Russian citizenship and is now British.
He is also Jewish, which sets him apart from most typical Russians. He's OK with me.

I still think that all western nations should kick out all Russian and Chinese from their countries as they are a security risk.

Chinese

Does that include people from the former colonies in Hong Kong? I suppose it does, your government did change the definition of British specifically to deny Hong Kong residents their birth right to move to the motherland. The right to self determination granted to the people occupying Las Malvinas was removed from those in Hong Kong because they were Chinese. The moveable feast that is Britishness has been fascinating to watch as the empire crumbled.

jon357
3 May 2026  #808

your government

Yours too.

occupying Las

Come off it Barney. I thought you believed in democracy.

as the empire crumbled[quote=Barney]crumbled

Worth remembering that the term "empire" only started to be used ironically in connection with dismantling the overseas territories.

crumbled

It didn't 'crumble'. Perhaps you're mistaking your and my U.K. for the arch colonialists France who hung on tooth and nail to their exploitation. We, of course, elected Labour governments in the 40s, 50s and 70s who deliberately decolonised, the first country to do so.

Barney
3 May 2026  #809

@jon357
No particular argument with you or Britain in general but I do find the self delusion astonishing. Britain had to be battered out of almost every colony from Ireland to Kenya. Oman a rare cherry where in the 1960s the British army sent by a Labour government were fighting to preserve, among other things, slavery. It was the big bad socialists Harold Wilson hated. The ironic use of the word empire still exists in the OBE , CBE etc For all France's faults they used their empire to prevent US occupation and elected a communists to government. France has been proved right in its stance on defence and European independence.

Having a dig at Milo for his incoherent political stance is not a dig at Britain as a concept or its people. It was Thatcher who changed the law to prevent Chinese subjects from exercising what they had been told was their birthright. Then the Malvinas happened and sh3 had to amend her amendment to support the non Chinese inhabitants. So Milo wanting all Russians and Chinese to be cleansed makes no sense.

jon357
3 May 2026  #810

Britain had to be battered out of almost every colony

Except it didn't. Labour policy was to decolonisation and this was achieved. Do you think the Tories would have granted India and Pakistan independence in 1948 or tried to cling on as the French did in Algeria and still try tonight West Africa?

Harold Wilson

A giant of politics. We need his like now.

You and I may well have a different perspective on some issues since we come from a somewhat different environment however Harold was one of the good guys.

About decolonisation, it's worth reading up on Sir Roy Walensky. A Tory hit annual one whose role was to guide the then Rhodesia to majority rule. He was undermined by the white rightwing there and that is far more about greed, complacency and bigotry than the actual nationalities involved.

Malvinas

No such place. Are you not a democrat?
