My favourite statues are (everyone likes this one) the Eric Morecambe statue on the seafront in Morecambe (he was a popular entertainer) and the Harold Wilson statue outside Huddersfield Railway Station. Grand enough to be a monument but also unpretentious and really catches him as we saw him

The days of giant things like the Victoria Memorial outside Buckingham Palace or the Albert Memorial in Albertopolis are long gone. The monument in Park Lane to animals that died in war is pretty good. I was there a couple of months ago. It's in a busy place but nice to just sit by.

For The Queen, I agree that something about animals would be suitable. Horses were Her great passion in life.

Her father's memorial is The King George VI Memorial Chapel at Windsor. They didn't commission it until 10 years after he died (there's no hurry, he'll be dead for a while unless the last trump is due) but hey. Rich is screaming and wetting himself about plinths already.
