"...damned Catholics...."

Yo Johnny! Ck. out college president Gordon Gee's remarks on precisely that subject close to three or more years back. "Those damned Catholics....."
And what about some of y'all damned W.A.S.P.'s, eh?

I have never heard a Christian preacher say any such thing

Pastor Steven Anderson from the Fundamentalist Independent Baptist church: "...the world could be AIDS-free by Christmas if only we executed the homos like God recommends."

.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/article/2e465c60-cdd3-48f5-8944-e9b2786e3ce9

Remember him? One of America's most notorious hate preachers.

WielkiPolak

Oh look, the BBC concentrates on hateful Christians. What a surprise.

TheOther
27 Jul 2018  #334

Is that an excuse to be a hateful Christian?

Johnny asked for an example, and I gave him one. No need to scream "Fake News!" or "Damn Libruls".

....if only we executed the homos like God recommends."

I'm not an expert but when exactly did God say something like that?

johnny reb
27 Jul 2018  #336

Lyzko will have to give you the chapter and verse because I have been unable to find it.
Maybe Steven and Lyzko are preaching Fake Scripture. lol

CORRECTION.............
I meant TheOther, not Lyzko.
Lyzko would know better as a Christian but the TheOther being unversed would not.

TheOther
27 Jul 2018  #337

Maybe Steven and Lyzko are preaching Fake Scripture

I don't care if you call it fake scripture or fake news. You wanted an example. Nothing more to it.

johnny reb
27 Jul 2018  #338

Johnny asked for an example, and I gave him one.

No, No you did not.
You made one up by painting Steven Anderson as a Christian.
I said, and you obviously missed the words "Christian preacher."

I have never heard a Christian preacher say any such thing.

Pastor Steven Anderson is one of America's most notorious hate preachers.
He's been banned from coming to the UK with the Home Secretary, Amber Rudd, branding him "unconducive to the public good".
Despite preaching sentiments that are strikingly similar to those promoted by Islamic extremists the constitutional right to free speech in America means that Steven need not fear being arrested.

No where is he recognized as a Christian.
Many Americans, including most Christians, are appalled by the extremity of Steven's unchristian views.
People have protested against Steven's sermons, including practicing Christians who passionately reject his interpretation of their faith.
You struck out again Otherly.

Include Pat Robertson then who once replied to the producer Norman Lear shortly after the success of "All In The Family" that G-d doesn't hear the prayers of a Jew.

Can't wait to find out how ya can square that one, Johnny!
:-)

G-d doesn't hear the prayers of a Jew.

God doesn't hear the prayers from the boys who were sexually assaulted by priests, either. The latest on this subject:
VATICAN CITY, July 28 (Reuters) - Pope Francis on Saturday accepted the resignation of Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, one of the U.S. Catholic Church's most prominent figures who has been at the centre of a widening sexual abuse scandal.

McCarrick, 88, the former archbishop of Washington, D.C., is the first cardinal in living memory to lose his red hat and title. Other cardinals who have been disciplined in sexual abuse scandals kept their membership in the College of Cardinals and their honorific "your eminence".

To the average Christian, everything is God's will. Well, almost everything. This time, as in the past, the average Christian is smart enough to keep his mouth shut and not claim that an old fart touching boys' private parts is God's will. That would not go down, so to speak, very well with most of us.

Somehow, when it was time to strike the sob with a lightning, God was obviously busy doing something else. Maybe talking to a pope about global warming?

johnny reb
28 Jul 2018  #341

who once replied

I'm sure there is an explanation if you took time to research it because God hears ALL prayer.

God doesn't hear the prayers from the boys who were sexually assaulted by priests, either.

All at God's speed Rich, not yours.

Miracles, like the EMT's after a 911 call, must be timely to be of value. When they ran out of wine, wine was delivered before the party would break up. When a kid is being raped by a "man of God" the rapist should be shot instantly. So far, all that God arranged for were transfers. A much better outcome would be God taking the pervert to the neared PD and forcing the sob to confess.

Atta boy there, Johnny! Go justify the enemy and make the right thinking appear wrong. You're in fine form all right.
I'm sure ol' Pat had a million excuses, each of them even less justified than the first.
lol

johnny reb
28 Jul 2018  #344

should be

According to the first chapter of Rich.

Go justify the enemy

Well actually I was waiting for you to verify the opposite instead of a he said he said offense.
Or as my pal Archie would say, "are you living in a freaking fairyland Meathead ?"

Rich Mazur
29 Jul 2018  #345

According to the first chapter of Rich.

My Bible would be a lot shorter and so clear nobody would have any doubt what it meant. Hundred pages max. Like: touch a kid, you die.

johnny reb
29 Jul 2018  #346

Gee Rich if that were the case the police and TSA would be extinct.

Ironside
29 Jul 2018  #347

Like: touch a kid, you die.

How very Christian of you.

Rich Mazur
29 Jul 2018  #348

OK. You walk into your bedroom and find a guy raping your kid. What's next?
1. Pray
2. Ask him to stop
3. Join him
4. Call a priest
5. Go to the kitchen to call 911 and to make yourself a cup of coffee
7. Get your gun form the nightstand and blow the motherf*****'s head off.

Go. The floor is all yours. BTW, I am not Christian.

johnny reb
29 Jul 2018  #349

What's next?

Step #1 first Rich, Pray without a doubt........
Dear Father, please forgive me for what I am about to do.
Then immediately go to step #7.

Lyzko
29 Jul 2018  #350

How very hypochristian you mean, Ironside!

@Johnny,

As undoubtedly "right" Archie was in his deep-seated suspicion of political correctness, Meathead nevertheless proved the more enlightened of the two, even though the latter was far too leftist for my tastes:-)

TheOther
29 Jul 2018  #351

...painting Steven Anderson as a Christian.

He claims to be a Christian. Just like you do. Who's telling the truth?

johnny reb
29 Jul 2018  #352

Just because he "claims to be one" and then preaches hate I understand how a non believer like you could be so confused.
Beware of the wolf wearing the lambs cloths.

TheOther
29 Jul 2018  #353

preaches hate

Well, Anderson talked about executing gays, you were talking crazy stuff about Marxist brown shirts who have to be "deleted". Both of you claim to be Christians, so what's the difference?

Rich Mazur
29 Jul 2018  #354

Then immediately go to step #7.

I didn't expect a response could be so spot on. Perfect.

From: mcclatchydc.com/news/politics-government/article215653425.html

WASHINGTON - Members of Congress should be able to work together to protect houses of worship from having to pay taxes, especially in an election year when both parties want to earn the faith community's vote.

What pisses me off beside the lies about miracles is that 'houses of worship' are exempt. If, instead of singing hymns, they were playing cards and telling jokes, the IRS code would not even remotely be as kind. That is beyond mind boggling.

TheOther
29 Jul 2018  #355

That is beyond mind boggling.

The best strategy to avoid taxes is to start your own religion or being a real estate developer who manages to bankrupt a casino.

Rich Mazur
29 Jul 2018  #356

You, on the other hand, would gladly pay taxes over and beyond what the law requires. Would that be correct?

Ironside
29 Jul 2018  #357

The floor is all yours. BTW, I am not Christian.

You changed your premise. You said nothing about it being YOUR or MINE kid. You were talking in general about kids, some kids.

Your outrage at SOME kids being abused is stems from the Christian values. You believe in Christian values therefore you're a Christian.

Rich Mazur
29 Jul 2018  #358

You said nothing about it being YOUR or MINE kid. You were talking in general about kids, some kids.

BS. I would do the same thing for your kid. And it has nothing to do with Christianity. It's justice, pure and simple, a concept that predates Joseph jumping into sack with Mary.

Ironside
29 Jul 2018  #359

And it has nothing to do with Christianity.

It has all to do with Christianity. The fact that you're not aware of it speak only about your ignorance. Palestinian do not care IF children are killed, so they put them in a harm way because they know that western/Christian public opinion would be outraged at Israeli.

In Pakistan and elsewhere boys are pretty much sodomized, that is a pretty much a semi-standard practice and no one cares except for (presumably) their family (if they have one). Ten years old Indian girls are being sold by their parents to the rich Saudi Arabians or whoever.

In China killing a baby that is not wanted for exmaple a girl that will not carry family name and be then a notice of the ghosts of ancestors is not a problem for a family. I mean is not a moral problem. Is a simple cosmetic choice.

This three years old toddler who drowned on the way from Turkey to Greece. Picture of his dead body has been used as a propaganda to soften the public opinion in Europe toward illegal immigrants. He was with his father, mother and two other siblings (if I recall correctly). They had only one life-jacked. Who was wearing it? Can you guess - no not the mother. It was the father himself. I suppose three years old kid is just a burden in such a journey, they can always make another one or two.

The Romans before Christianity. A Roman citizen a male could have a sex with anybody, anything and any one he liked with the one exception only.

Another Roman citizen (a male). Anything else was a fair game. An infant - be my guest, three years old boy - why the hell not.

Nobody cared. See. A Different morality and different values those people were pagan or what. Defiantly they were not Christians - they acted like no Christians. You on the other had act ( or react like) a Christians therefore in fact you're the one even if you claim some BS.

Rich Mazur
30 Jul 2018  #360

You changed your premise.

You avoided my question. To make it easy for you, I made it a multiple-choice type. Instead, I got a lecture about things I couldn't care less about. Way too long and all over the place.
