Grand Jury reveals the depravity of 301 priests who sexually assaulted at least 1,000 children
As wide spread as this is it certainly can not be a coincidence.
This celibacy vow is for the damn birds.
Let the priest get married so they can get in touch with what it's like to be born to suffer.
Get them in touch with the reality what it is to demand a 10% tieth out of a guys paycheck each week to support the biggest real estate owners in the world.
Let them have a wife so they don't have these sperm retention fantasies for children.
Come on, they are human beings for crying out loud.
I remember when a nun once told me that we are to confess our sins to father (a priest) and told her that he was not my father and that the only Father I would repent my sins to was God the Father.
At home, prosecuting priests feels almost like blasphemy.
I agree Rich.
We must give the good ones respect but I would never bow to one, kneel to one, pray to one, worship one but that is exactly what was instilled in us in Catholic school.
That is why alter boys always have their hair parted right down the center.
They kneel before the priest while the priest palms their head saying, bless you my son, bless you.

There are three solutions available to the horny priests right now:
1. Get a girlfriend
2. Get a sex robot
3. Take 20 and go to that part of town where it will get you a decent quality bj. Leave the vagina alone because that is where some nasty STD is hiding.
I should be a counselor for the Catholic Church.

4 get castrated , that should reduce the drive to abuse children.
Maybe that is the solution compulsory castration.

Frankly, I hope Francis doesn't go. Compared with Benedict, this sitting pope's a saint:-)
The dude's between a rock and a hard place! If he bends over backwards to accomodate the scores of abused, he's accused by the other side of being impartial.
On the other hand, if the appears to ignore the victims of abuse, he's deemed callous.
He simply can't win.
Agreed, Johnny! O' Wojtyla. where are you when we need you?

He has to make a stand for his spiritual beliefs.
if the appears to ignore the victims of abuse, he's deemed callous
Oh well, Christians have been persecuted for a lot less then being callous for doing moral thing.
He must practice what he preaches.

Tell me you are joking. Doing what is moral and legal is a dilemma for this pope?

I don't know if that's such a good idea. It seems he was covering up as well:
telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/the-pope/10787986/Pope-John-Paul-II-was-no-saint-but-a-man-who-covered-up-sin.html
"There is irrefutable documentary evidence to show that John Paul II refused to take action that would have protected children during his 27-year papacy."

And I am still missing the reason why anybody needs clergy. Can't they just read the holy book, pray to God directly, skip the 10% tax, and keep the kids safe at home?
In just one sentence and under 30 seconds I solved the problem that popes and the cops are not able. And for free.
I am a genius.

why anybody needs clergy.
The definition of a clergy is: "someone who instills guilt".

He must practice what he preaches.
Tearing down the protection of the Vatican state would be a good start, let them be ruled by the democratic government of Italy, the money made selling off the real estate would make a great impact on the poor and impoverished , do the right thing I say.

"Scuse me, TheOther, but John Paul was the ONLY Pope throughout the long history of the Papacy who actually apologized to the Jews for being labled "Chrst killers"!!
He gets my vote, although such an apology was long overdue.

Jews for being labled "Chrst killers"!!
some american film director kicked that off, never in all my younger years being dragged up in the catholic religion did anyone mention Jews as Christ killers, I f you read all the stuff, Christ already knew his fate / sacrifice and all that.
Utter modern fable that idea.

Maybe you were absent that day, or more than likely, you unconsciously spit out the anti-Semitism before taking Communion so as it wouldn't sour the taste of the wine:-)

Lyzko, I'm with Dolno on this one. Jews were never mentioned at all in my Catholic education other than when we were in our last year in secondary school and we briefly studied some of the other main religions in order to get an idea of their principles etc. At home, I asked my mother what a Jew was when I was about six or seven and she said 'they're nearly the same as us but they don't believe that Jesus was the Son of God' :D and then she launched into 'a lovely Jewish girl' who went to her convent school and explained how the Jews had to send their children to Catholic schools because there weren't enough Jews to have their own schools and how everybody got along fine. But she did say that one Jewish girl married outside the faith and the family held a mock funeral for her and never spoke to her again. However she didn't condemn them. She just accepted it as part of their religion and said it was 'very sad'.

you unconsciously spit out the anti-Semitism
I think you are being over sensitive.
While not politically correct the slang names for different races are still occasionally used.
Christ Killers or "Kikes" for Jews
Dago or Whops for Italians
Pollack for the Polish
Mick for the Irish
Frogs for the French
Limey's for the Brits
Yanks for the American's
So what's the big deal ?
What makes the Jews so damn special ?

As wide spread as this is it certainly can not be a coincidence.
Sure not, it stared when they stopped to abide by an acient rule - no homo could ever became a priest. Of course good two shoes American liberals changed it and others followed.
why a homosexual would want to marry or to have a gall?

I don't get it. This appology thingy? It shouldn't be wasted on pigs, there is something about pigs and pearls, in the Bible.
Lyzko
29 Aug 2018 #533
You mean. "casting pearls into wine"?
@Atch,
The problem is that very often the Christ-killer label goes over most Catholics like a wave! The fault lies not with millions of believing, faithful Catholics who honesly feel compelled by their faith to accept its teachings. The principal fault lies with the Catholic Church aka Vatican, whose policies manipulated by the Pope, those at the top of the Catholic hierarchy, skew Church doctrine by demonizing the Jews!
Enlightened Catholics the world over know not to fall for such garbage.

Christ-killer
Enlightened Catholics the world over know not to fall for such garbage.
The Jews selected Jesus to be killed, not barabus. That was written in the Bible, not invented by Catholics or the Vatican hierarchy. Per Jewish tradition, a prisoner was to be released over Passover. The choice was Jesus or a murderer and thief, barabus. Since the high priests and Jewish establishment saw Jesus as a huge threat, they and other Jews chose barabus instead of Jesus. Even herod didnt see that jesus did anything wrong but zaid it was ultimately a jewish matter and didnt want to get involved. While they didn't drive the spear into Jesus, Jews most certainly had him indicted, arrested, tried, prosecuted and convicted. They acted as judge and jury while.romans were executioner. That is the record in Bible

It's only ever the jews that deny it. Its just another thing that makes them universally ridiculed and unpopular.

Exactly, become a priest and have access to all those young virgin boys that have been brainwashed that a priest is not to be challenged.
Plus have your bosses turn their heads when you get caught only to relocate you for a punishment to do it again and again.
I suggest ALL the victims that are still alive start a "Me Too" class action lawsuit against the Vatican.
I may get a bumper sticker for my truck that reads: "Priests give Homo's a bad name."

It obviously went to the top to the government. That is who suppresses the cops and anyone else who tried to stop it. There seems to be a culture of child abuse cover up in certain countries. There are a bunch of people now suing the uk government from Australia for sending them here to be expoited, sexually abused and worse at the hands of filth such as those priests but also others who OBVIOUSLY covered up for them.

"Priests give Homo's a bad name."
And the ultimate irony is that once they were considered mentally sick. They hated it and declared themselves 'normal'. So, now they can't use the 'it's a disease and I am a victim' defense. Or at least temporary insanity. With that bridge behind and in pieces, the goal post has to be pushed forward where f****** a kid is another new normal.
The question now is who is really sicker, them or the cheering hetero liberals.

you unconsciously spit out the anti-Semitism before taking Communion so as it wouldn't sour the taste of the wine:-)
To be honest like Atch said I knew nothing about the Jews until way after my first holy communion and I only learned about them later on when I went to a multi faith school.
Really Lyzko , Jews don't ever figure in my mind unless someone like you mentions them, they don't bother me at all, Muslims on the other hand have a very high news profile because of their links to terrorism, the roman catholic church is under the magnifying glass due to its links to abuse.
Only recent thing about Jews is the British labour party and its leader who do seem to be spewing anti antisemitism.
But honestly Lyzko I dont spew out antisemitism in my sleep i'm sure the wife would tell me , I think you are very obsessed and paranoid about your Jewishness, the rest of us aren't bothered at all unless we see some news headline that reminds us that there are jews.
If you ask me to name s famous Jew I can only think of Ann Frank which I learned of from school, oh and schindler (was he a jew) Im sure there are plenty of important people who are / were Jews but I probably only know the country they came from.

I think Dolno that our viewpoint is very much a British Isles one where Jews are not a big deal whereas Lyzko's is an American one.
Jews in the UK have always been very well integrated, even though there was a certain amount of anti-Semitism about a hundred years ago and in Ireland there was never any anti-Jewish feeling. The Catholic kids around the South Circular Road area of Dublin where the Jews were concentrated used to make a few bob doing odd jobs for the Jews on the Sabbath. I once mentioned here, the Belfast Jew who recalled leaving his tailor's shop on a Friday evening and getting caught in an exchange of sniper fire between Catholics and Prods, when he heard someone call out 'Hold your fire, Jew approaches!'
But I think it's a different story in America. There are some people there who really seem to hate Jews, a bit like the vibe in Europe before WWII. A certain element in America thinks Jews control everything and they absolutely detest them.
