@TheOther
Wrong ones to solve it? Dems cant come up with any solution that doesn't involve spending more money (further driving up deficits and national debt) and bloating government bureaucracy even more.
Yeah except the red states dont have enormous deficits unlike California and illinois. I've lost count of how many municipalities in California declared bankruptcy
Here's a usa today article on the best and worst run states. The top are all Republican states. Why? Because unlike democrats who only know how to spend spend spend and grow the government more and more, republicans are fiscally conservative. Just look at their credit rating - north Dakota is aaa and has a 6% growth rate with tiny unemployment, contrary to your claim about rural america having high unemployment. Meanwhile California has an aa-/aaa3 while illinois had to BEG to not be downgraded to junk status.

Furthermore,
4/5 of the worst states ranked by fiscal condition are blue states

Meanwhile 4/5 of the top states ranked by fiscal condition are red states with Florida being a swing state
Top 7 states with lowest debt and unfunded pension as % are red states... Oregon in 8th place is where the first blue state is represented

Select employment to population, select latest rates, select sort by ranking
This shows employment rates - top 5 6 spots are all republican/swing states further debunking your claim that red states all have very high unemployment. There are red states that have very high unemployment and very low unemployment. Both California and new York fell BELOW the us average while almost all the states that have higher employment rates than the us average. In fact there were roughly as many red states above the us average as below. Nonetheless, the most populous blue states califormia and florida both fell below the us average for employemt / higher than us average for unemployment.
So it seems to me the top performing states, and usa today and other sources would agree, are red states - especially north Dakota which has held 1st place for 4 years.
Top 5 best performing states are north Dakota, Wyoming, Iowa, Nebraska and utah... looks like California and new York as well as other blue states are missing ... oh that's because California is way at the very bottom along with illinois

For a third year in a row, California is the worst run state
17% of people below poverty line, 10.5% unemployment
No surprises there...
Omg and OVER A TRILLION in debt - yeah the dems really know how to balance a budget...
