Indeed, and by all accounts ruzzian sources are claiming that they've managed to hold onto land they've lost or destroyed Ukrainian ehicles that they haven't bu using old photos.

Here's the latest from today:
r*SSia lost 15K+ orcs in the first 5 days of Ukraine's small-scale counteroffensive probing assaults:
-3,830 killed (suggesting 11,490 wounded, meaning 15,320 total casualties)
-46 tanks (more than a tank battalion at full strength)
-88 armored vehicles
-163 artillery/MLRS

There are also reports of mass desertions by orcs and explosions at orc military bases 75km from the front.

I just want Jon and Maf to say this is exactly how they expected the counteroffensive to unfold. Experiencing a little bit of cognitive dissonance here...

I know the Russians are supposed to be running from the Leopards and Bradleys like the plague, but instead they seem to be getting destroyed at their staging areas, even before they can reach a defensive line.

What gives? What happened?

Could it be that Ukraine really was trying to pull off the grandest of all surprises, and attack over the Dnieper near Kherson - directly towards Crimea? Then the dam explosion scuppered that plan, and the Ukrainians were forced to attack there where everybody expected them to? Hmmmmm

I don't think an anti-tank mine or a perfectly zeroed in 152MM HE round really cares about the specs on your hardware. Physics comes into play.

What Ukraine needed to do was suppress our artillery, and clear the skies. Instead we got to observe them advancing from miles away, and then obliterated them when they entered the grids our artillery had previously zeroed in on.

Also, our helicopters proved a nasty surprise. Turns out they are a lot more effective when firing from inside our lines, rather than flying over UKR lines infested with MANPADS. Reports are that a single KA-52 destroyed 7 pieces of armor in one night.

Expect? Why would Ukraine even give the slightest clue about their plans for their successful counteroffensive.

And neither Maf nor I have a crystal ball nor are we military strategists or tacticians (and nor are you).

It's delightful to read the reports of mass surrender by recently mobilised orcs though.

The neo-Nazi army is being denazified and demilitarized with each battle. Its defeats in Mariupol, Soledar and Bakhmut have shown Russia has better war plans and more effective weapons than NATO. It has been reported that Ukraine was armed and trained to NATO standards and to be NATO's second best army. Well, the Ukrainian army will crumble soon like the Afghan army the US/NATO trained for 20 years and billions spent!

That's as fast as you'll get these things. The drone operator has to fly his drone back, download all the stuff on its memory, send it to our military censors for review, and then some small part of it will be released for consumption by the public. ...Video editing is simpler than ever-while even some video game footage has already been passed off as being recorded in Ukraine. So until footage from the ground is presented of a destroyed Leopard 2, it is impossible to say for sure if any of the big cats have actually been put down.

Lets wait for real proof!

This guy is as tight as a duck's butt. A lot of people doubted he would ever give the award to anyone, even if they towed the Bradley into his front yard. The fact that he's parting with this truck means someone was successful.

I am actually surprised that Germany would get talked into this bullsh*it. Imagery aside, it's been nothing but a total disaster for your economy.
