Ukraine already lost one Western mine clearing tank earlier this week. This adds 3 to the count. I believe only 6 total Leopards were provided with this capability (mostly from Finland).

There are all sorts of false reports coming out of ruzzia at the moment. Kyiv have said that they won't discuss their actions and plans and of course this is wise. So ruzzia makes things up.

It's worth remembering that ruzzia has consistently lied throughout whereas Kyiv's statements have tended to be accurate.

Yeah, sure "yaaaaaawn". It's not just 3 Leopards, it's 3 out of 6 Leopards that had the mine-clearing package. Add to this the one they lost earlier, and additional one they lost since - and you have 5/6 mine clearing Leopards destroyed.

Yes, the UKRs still have some number of IMR-2 (Soviet), NM189 (Norwegian), M-88s (US), and Bergepanzers (German). But those leopards were the best mine clearing equipment they had.

Again, Ukraine has still not even reached the main defensive belt. Also, there were losses of other Leopards, of the conventional variety. Then there are 20+ Bradleys already destroyed (20% of all Bradleys handed over).

You just can't put any lipstick on this pig of an offensive. It's stalling, and it's suffering terrific rates of attrition.

So much for NATO training and kit.
