Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 6

NATO was on it's way out....

Moving from Germany in 1990 to Russia in 2022 is a strange way of going out of business or "slowly fading away". Unless NATO is just a Ponzi scam...that needs new suckers to keep the pyramid growing. Like Finland and Sweden...Yeah, Russia was planning to invade Sweden. Didin't do it in the last century but, all of a sudden, Russia wants Ikea and Somalis.

The "new sucker" here being Putin!

Without him seen as a new, strong threat, NATO couldn't even dream of that expansion....even countries which stood neutral during the whole Cold War come now knocking and begging for entry!

Novichok

NATO couldn't even dream of that expansion.

One more time...Russia went to Ukraine BECAUSE NATO moved from Germany in 1990 to Russia's borders in 2022.
In other words: In those 32 years, NATO went to Russia. Russia did not go to NATO.
Please don't make me repeat this...

You can repeat it as often as you want, it might even be true but....WHO CARES! What Sweden and Finland etc. think THAT is important. When they see Putin as such a big threat that they prefer to end their decade's old, valued neutrality and wish to become members of NATO then Putin made a huge error....a long-lasting, enormous error in judgement with great consequences and in the end a happy NATO.

You can blame NATO for that all you want, it just doesn't change a thing! NATO on its own could never have achieved this, fact!

The "new sucker" here being Putin!

True dat.

Had a great deal but he blew it because he wanted to be an empire again..... and the stupidity of the russian system was that no one could/can stop him. They have to wait for him to die or be deposed violently....

the backwardness of russia is a burden on other countries....

wish to become a member of NATO

...to prove how stupid the US is.
Finland, Sweden, and other Euro meetoos signed up as zero-cost insurance - with the US being the insurance company that takes on additional risks with zero additional benefits.

Europe, including Germany, would find a hundred reasons why not to defend the US if we were attacked by China, Mexico, or Russia. Europe can't even protect itself and that's why you need us.

How does it feel to be parasites?

If China should really attack the US we just have to support the US or we would be next on the plate, and an easy to digest leftover crumb at that....everybody with two brain cells left knows that!

we just have to support the US

I know. You would feel our pain and express sympathy. And trade with China like nothing ever happened.
BB, get real. NATO is a one-way deal. You win, we, US taxpayers, get fu*cked.

That would be a stupidity of Putin's proportions! Short time we would surely save money, material, maybe even men....but long term it would be our death sentence, the end of our Europe as we know and prefer it!

We are smarter than that, trust me in this!

the end of our Europe as we know and prefer it!

Are we talking about Russia - the country that took a year to take Bakhmut - or Muslim migrants?

'China has changed.' Germany unveils strategy to cut reliance on world's no. 2 economy

edition.cnn.com/2023/07/13/economy/germany-china-strategy/index.html

You might not believe it, but we ARE able to learn! :)

...Germany announced Thursday that it would reduce its dependence on China in "critical sectors" including medicine, lithium batteries used in electric cars and elements essential to chipmaking. ....

Have to agree on that one.
biden as Commander in Chief has ordered up to 3000 reservists to be ready for deployment to Europe.
Quote:
"It's not clear whether the troops will actually be deployed," Politico reports, "but it suggests the U.S. military presence in Europe is under strain."

UNDER STRAIN ! WHERE IN THE HELL ARE THE EUROPEANS STRAIN, it's their war, not the U.S.'s.
Trump was so right when he wanted to abolish NATO.
Keep our boys feet off Ukraine's soil joe !
We are not the dog in the fight.

So would you accept Germany or Italy with Nukes ? Because that is the only realistic alternative to NATO

Bobko

So would you accept Germany or Italy with Nukes ?

Why the hell is that the only acceptable alternative, if Turkey, the UK, and France already have nukes?

Novichok
14 Jul 2023  #1847

Because that is the only realistic alternative to NATO

BS. North Vietnam didn't have nukes and won. The Taliban didn't have nukes and won. Or tanks...Or artillery...A country that has only nukes is disarmed.

Italy is being invaded by the people who have nothing.

I read somewhere that Britain and France could only resist Russia with conventional means for some weeks.

I don't know what that estimate looks life after France and England emptied their inventories for Ukraine's benefit.

Nukes have an important role to play.

Nukes have an important role to play.

We had nukes and lost every single war after 1945.
Lost (def.) = failed to win. If we "won", nobody knows what.
At least, for the 7 trillion we spent, no terrorist will ever cross our open border so it was worth it.

This is what we call "irony"...Quoting RT - the best source out there:

Ukrainian troops are reluctant to make use of the heavy equipment supplied by Western backers, as it has become a liability, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.

Western tanks are a priority target for Russian forces, and burn more fiercely than Soviet-made equivalents when hit, the president told the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

...and a comment:

The members of NATO might want to consider either buying their new equipment from Russia or having Russia advise them on how to properly design a tank.

Is Russia still playing Space Uber?

The thing about nukes on an ICBM missile is that you can't defend against it.
Say for example if little rocket man got drunk and decided to launch an ICBM from N.K. with a nuclear war head at Washington D.C. there is nothing to stop it from hitting it's target.

Same way with Russia's nukes, if Putin wanted to wipe Poland, the U.K. and the U.S. off the map, he is very capable of doing it.

The problem of being friendly with russia is that it always causes more trouble than it's worth....

South Africa hopes putain does not attend the BRICS meeting but putain is planning on going anyway (to humiliate the South African government when they don't arrest him and they suffer diplomatic consequences)

russians are only happy (if you want to call it that) when they're humiliating other countries.... so repulsive....

BB, get real. NATO is a one-way deal. You win, we, US taxpayers, get fu*cked.

Rich, NATO is a bit more complex, but still one-way deal, MIC shareholders get their dividends, Pentagon generals get their salary, European NATO members become cannon fodder in future conflicts, and US taxpayers pay the bills.

Trace cash flow, it is easy...

Trace cash flow, it is easy...

"US spending of 5.6% of its defense budget to destroy nearly half of Russia's conventional military capability seems like an absolutely incredible investment,"

Korvinus
15 Jul 2023  #1856

Please don't make me repeat this...

A lie repeated a thousand times is still a lie. Before RU invasion in 2014, less than 10% of Ukrainians wanted to join NATO.
And Russia recognized Ukraine as independent.
Imagine if USA recognized California as an independent state and decades later decided to invade and annex California.

yeah, that's the kind of thing that only genocidal nazis do.... I agree.
