Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 6

Velund

US needs as much as I need an extra arm. Or the third kidney...Or a personal bazooka...

Second hole in the ass is much better example, as I think.....

Hard to tell who can or need to threaten US on their ground borders with something more powerful than machine gun. Even unarmed hordes work fine enough there.

And concerning tank plant in Ukraine - there is still a lot of underground facilities since USSR times, so one of them may be used. Problem is that Russian MOD know everything about this underground facilities. And there is chances to get automagically buried mass grave one nice night or even day.

Tacitus

Historically speaking - Leopard not very successful tank.

That is a lot of nonsense. So far the the Leopard has performed as expected. None of its' current or past uses has revealed any flaws or weaknesses that were not obvious to experts from the very beginning. You can not put tanks into urban combat without sufficient infantry coverage (Syria) or charge heavily reinforced lines without anti-air cover (Ukraine) and not expect heavy losses.

On the contrary, reports indicate that Leopards - like other Western equipment like the Bradley - has fullfilled a key promise, namely the better protection offered to its' crew. Whereas crews of Russian tanks have little hope of survival in case of a hit, there are many reports of crews surviving the destruction of their Western-made vehicle.

to not let Poland make a penny on German tanks

Should this not be more about helping Ukraine than making money. All jokes aside, the Polish side seems to have shown some indefensible behaviour here. At the detriment of Ukraine.

Should this not be more about helping Ukraine than making money

Yes, keep talking like that. Either you have no clue or you on it. \
Excuse made up by the German press, crux of the matter - Poland will use Korean and American tanks not German one, so not one mark goes to Poland.

IF you still don't get it. Reasons given in the German press are pure baloney.

podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/battleground-ukraine/id1617276298

Latest Battleground:Ukraine podcast, talks about the forced deportation of hundreds of thousands of children, apparently they were offered a holiday in Crimea to give them a break from the war and then they were forcibly taken for brainwashing in Russia & Belarus. Shades of the Khmer Rouge here.

When countries tell you who they are.... believe them.

russia has been talking about creating a famine in order to have sanctions lifteed for months.... but rational westerners refused to believe it because.. what kind of sick depraved rat fkvcers create a famine?

this is the same country that created the holdomor, so.... they're serious

Reasons given in the German press are pure baloney.

The reasons (including ridiculous overcharging for services on the Polish side) are reported by credible news organizations and frankly, they fit into the pattern of Poland being less than helpful when it comes to cooperating with Germany for the benefit of Ukraine, due to either domestic or economic reasons. The Patriot debacle comes to mind, or the PZH2000 repair hub. Objectively speaking, Germany is cooperating with several other countries in similar ways, yet it is always the cooperation with Poland that never works out. Reason suggests that this is unlikely to be exclusively Berlin's fault

@Tacitus
Maybe the style of communication needs to change?
Poles are sensitive to how anybody communicates to a Pole. There are higher tolerance level towards nations/nationalities Poles are fond of, others the tolerance level is really low.

So I would recommend the communication officer to learn some more communication skills, perhaps from the French

@Bratwurst Boy

..and I can't believe he hasn't thought about that B/D ratio also!

The CEO of Rheinmetall said today in an interview that the plant would be protected with modern air-defence made by Rheinmetall.

The stakes are high, but imagine the potential benefits. His company gets' excellent PR and likely further contracts from Kiev since Ukraine will need weapons for many more years possibly decades as a deterrence against Russia. And he can advertise his air-defence systems as being proven in battle so to speak.

Igor Girkin.... aka Strelkov architect of the illegal annexation of Crimea (carried out at gunpoint as he himself said....) and the invasion of Ukraine and the terrorist responsible for the death of 298 people on the plane the russians shot down has been arrested....

not for any of his very real war crimes, of course, this is russia.... He's been arrested for 'extremism'... it seems he was a little salty in his criticism of Uncle Vova and russians are not allowed to do that... which is probably why russia supporters here idolize him so... they know what happens if they stop applauding first....

twitter.com/wartranslated/status/1682340021397868545

Ukraine has offered to pay for him to be... 'transported' there so he can be escorted to the Hague which would not be pleasant for him, but would be a lot more pleasant than what will probably happen to him now in russia...

Bratwurst Boy

but imagine the potential benefits.

Absolutely!

Will be interesting to observe that....he is much to clever not to have somehing in the "Hinterhand"!

He's been arrested for 'extremism'.

....maybe a possible putschist?

On the other hand with his kind supplanting Putin nobody would be truly better off!

with his kind supplanting Putin nobody would be truly better off!

Well the weird, horrible ironic part is that it's another example of negative selection (one of the defining principles of russian life).

He may be a disgusting murder pig who deserves the gallows (or worse) but he was also at times far more clear-eyed and realistic than putain had some idea of what was really going on and a kind of vision... A non-russian leader would find a way to put his expertise to work but as someone who informed on him said... "I believe insulting the first person of the state is a crime"

twitter.com/nexta_tv/status/1682359452396138502

As one Ukrainian said of the russian military.... 'lucky for us they're so stupid....'

Bratwurst Boy

but he was also at times far more clear-eyed and realistic than putain

He was? Interesting....

mafketis
21 Jul 2023  #1993

He was?

He was far better informed about what was happening on the ground thatn putain is (for whom everything is filtered by idiots and yes-men). And he had some grasp of military strategy (unlike the top russian brass who mostly have no real military background).

Terrible person who I hope will.... not be breathing so much in the future... but not an idiot about military affairs (like Shoigu) or a posturing ape (Priggy)

Igor Girkin.

Well if your boss was a paranoid murderer would you freely share any bad information with him just so he is up to date ? or would you maybe wait to see if there is better news ?

Reason suggests that this is unlikely to be exclusively Berlin's fault

Your first mistake - is trying to use reason in dealings with Poles.

Sure, sure don't get overly excited, you will get all sweaty.

Do you see? Employing zero reason - Ironside has destroyed your carefully crafted argument.

In order to take the first step on the long journey to defeating your enemy, you must first learn to think like him.

How do you know how well Putin is informed?

How do you know how well informed he is?

It's all guesswork but lots of sources indicate he doesn't use any digital media and relies entirely on written and oral reports from subordinates (who know that he's a 'shoot the messenger' type of guy.

And a large majority of those with experience in the russian government/army who know how things work indicate that the person ad the top doesn't really know what's going on because there's no motivation or reward for being honest with them....

So far the the Leopard has performed as expected.

Leopards are simply good western tanks. But even good tanks have trouble when attacking fortified positions, against artillery barrage and Ka-52s.

Russians admit however they are superior in night combat and Ukrainians are often using them in this capacity.

The results of the offensive will be possible to assess when it culminates.

Tacitus

others the tolerance level is really low.

I would argue that there is a noticeable difference between low tolerance and hostility and that the government in Warsaw is clearly driven by the latter in its' dealings with Berlin. There is only so much you can compensate with communication when the other party spits in your eye instead of shaking hands as a greeting.

don't get overly excited

There is no excitement on my part, just disappointment. The invasion of Ukraine is a tragedy, but it could also have served as an opportunity for reconciliation. German politicians were forced to concede that the Eastern Europeans were right with their warnings and had to adjust their policies accordingly. Other countries have used this and forged closer security ties Berlin like Lithuania and the Czech Republic. There was a lot of potential for effective and symbolic cooperation between Warsaw and Berlin as well, but it looks like this is wishful thinking. Even though nothing should unite better than a common foe.

Ironside

Do you see?

What do you see? not much by the way you post, is more akin to trolling than anything else.
I don't need to reason with T, I disagree with him.
His argument doesn't make sense and hence is not true, crediblity of the German media is in question too, it wouldn't be first time it lied about Poland.

Now Girkin's pal Pavel Gubarev has been arrested!

twitter.com/DietmarPichler1/status/1682435772090032131

Before anyone starts crying in their beer about this.... he's another filthy murder pig and no fate is too bad for him... he's on record as being willing to kill any Ukrainian who didn't want to be russian instead....

German politicians were forced to concede that the Eastern Europeans were right

Look I don't care if they did or didn't. To be honest I couldn't care less what they say. How they act is what matters to me, and they don't act as if they meant it.

Aslo, I think Polish gov is weak and full of it. They talk to much, make a lot of noise but do very little of substance or of what they should be doing.

Agreeing with the EU when it take away Polish sovereignty and then backpeddaling - I call that BS.
I would say to Germans that use EU to dominate Poland, no and Polexit on the table. \\
Back to the issue:
Germans are cheap they wanted to pay basic when service tanks from the front means it need to be given a full lift work, and Poles who were in charge know what they are talking about... because they have been once s..ed like that...

. There was a lot of potential for effective and symbolic cooperation between Warsaw and Berlin

Yes but it won't be in the defence sphere, Poland will give all it's 230+ leopard tanks to Ukraine and rely on american and korean tech instead. So just be thankfull for that as there will be more business on your underground rimming-stahl factory in ukraine that will never happen whilst there is a war.

Instead Poland and Germany will coperate economicaly a lot more, Poland will supply a lot more manufacturing components to Germany, because energy costs will be far lower in Poland thanks to Baltic Pipe and germany will have to de-industralise due to high costs.

like Lithuania and the Czech Republic

They were quite apathetic/happy to be under Nazi Gernam occupation so it is to be expected.

I see enough.

Nothing more stupid and dangerous than a ruski to shoot his mouth off and interfere with a pole and kraut debating..

As is reading 'credible' german media that poland tried to charge 10x more than lithuania to repair german tanks, but this is the same 'credible' german media that did not report cologne mass migrant rapes for two days so i guess it is to be expected.

Sure I support closer german-polish cooperation, please pay the war reparations of one hundred trillion dollars as good will gesture to begin this.

Bratwurst Boy
21 Jul 2023  #2007

Then what does the polish media report about the reason?

We know for sure that Pistorius even traveled to Warsaw to clear things up....

lease pay the war reparations of one hundred trillion dollars as good will gesture to begin this.

So that was the reason? Before the hundred trillion dollars are paid there will be no repair of tanks?

....that would definitely be a tad to expensive!

Novichok
22 Jul 2023  #2008

Those who at this point "support" Ukraine only prolong the war that Ukraine cannot possibly win. Sending your own to death without any chance of winning is pure evil.

You can call Russia names all you want, but that will not change anything since Russia reached the point of no retreat. Everybody with brains knows it.

So cut all the bs whose tanks are easier to repair. It does not matter anymore...

A year ago, I was called "a surrender boy". That was before half a million men died and peace was within reach in March 2022.
A-holes...

cms neuf

How can Ukraine " not possibly win" ?

They have better weapons, more money, better tactics, better training and they are sober

Most of all they are clear in their war aims. Expel the Udmurtian rapists from their country. What is Putin fighting for now ?

Most of the dead people you talk about are Udmurtians - it would have been nuts for Ukraine to surrender to these savages.

You will see limbless veterans of this war hobbling around the metro stations and 24 hour sushi bars of Moscow for decades to come

Ironside

Poland will give all it's 230+ leopard tanks to Ukraine

What? What do you mean give? Free handouts again? Why, what for?

How can Ukraine " not possibly win" ?

It seem to be an option on the table.

So that was the reason?

I already post it. Germans are cheap.
Blaming failed negociations on Poles proves it.
