I was actually telling Kania recently that I would like to one day write about the Church Fathers for a lay audience.
Cool! Hell, maybe start a thread and we can discuss--I could see me visiting PF more frequently for that.
The Desert Fathers (read: not crazy) were like the pilgrims of the spiritual life. They faced the fallout from Original Sin with brutal honesty and total vulnerability. Have you read Thomas Merton's "Wisdom of the Desert"?
What about the early Fathers who didn't venture into the desert: Polycarp, Cyril of Jerusalem, Justin Martyr, Jerome, etc.?
However, I forgive them their Lyube antics, because they host the Word on Fire show (thanks for the recommendation, Anti).
Anytime, brate!
B T W, Lyube? What's that?
Putler did similar
Yeah, and he was lambasted as desperate and that it showed to be a sure sign of how weak the Russian military actually was. What's good for the goose is good for the gander when it comes to Ukraine?
