Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 13

Well you would say that wouldn't you...

instead reinforcements are arriving from inside Russia, and Crimea and Kherson.

Mostly fresh conscripts who will be double cannon fodder for Ukrainian heroes.
Double means more than normal.

Russia did not take the bait of Kursk.

How long? Coz the offensive is developing and new territory is liberated by Ukrainians every day. :):):) Currently, the number of Russians evacuated from the region amounts to 100.000. What if it reaches 200.000 or more?

How long?

This is a good question. For the moment, it seems Ukraine's advance has stalled. If the amount of territory stays relatively small - like this - then I think it can be tolerated for a long time.

You're either a little out of date or misinformed.

Coz the offensive is developing and new territory is liberated by Ukrainians every day. :)

Remind me, Pawian - how much Russian territory was taken by the Wehrmacht in 1941? 1942? "Slightly" more than what Ukrainians have taken now, wasn't it? Did it force Russia to surrender?

Brave Ukrainian heroes. They fight for their country well. So well that sometimes I feel inclined to forget the past. Forgetting is a difficult task though.

In any case, this heroic-and-legendary Kursk offensive may only speed up the Ukrainian defeat as Russia will now be forced to get their fingers out and stop fighting a half-arsed war. It is definitely going to be interesting to watch but, meanwhile, I would start reinforcing the eastern border - including, and maybe especially, the Ukrainian part.

I wonder what Kania wanted to say...

I keep forgetting that Torq left. Must ask the mods to delete the account and leave only this one.

@GefreiterKania

I must admit Kania is a better name.

Agree with you, that next weeks will be interesting. Somebody will have to blink first.

If Russia blinks first and begins rotating people massively out of Donetsk - then we can call this a Ukrainian victory.

If Russia calls Ukraine's bluff, and continues to largely ignore the situation in Kursk, forcing Ukraine to commit to an entrenchment and start organizing supply lines for those additional kilometers of frontline - then I think this is a big f*ck up.

If Ukraine suddenly declares that it has "achieved all its initial goals" and pulls back to the other side of the border with most of its forces still intact... I think we can call that a neutral to slightly negative result. They humiliated Putin, raised the spirits of Western donors, but also lost lots of armor and men in the process (along with large swathes of Donetsk Oblast).

Did it force Russia to surrender?

Who is talking about surrender??? Show us this poster! Ha!!!

So well that sometimes I feel inclined to forget the past.

Yes, I know, in the deep nooks and crannies of your soul you still bear a grudge against Ukrainians coz their ancestors from Bandera killing squads murdered some of your family.

may only speed up the Ukrainian defeat as Russia will

Stop reading comments by German experts on Onet who predict the quicker defeat of Ukraine now. :):):):) They are harmful to your psyche visibly. :):):)

Must ask the mods to delete the account

Don`t be silly. Get a grip and keep both accounts coz it is amusing. Not amasing but really amusing. :):):)

raised the spirits of Western donors

Polish donors maybe. The westerners are a cowardly bunch - they will probably be less inclined to donate weapons now, for fear of further escalation.

you still bear a grudge against Ukrainians

It would be easier for me not to bear a grudge if it wasn't for the monuments, streets, stadium, portraits of the murderes etc.; it would be even easier if it wasn't for those thousands of our own, still deprived of proper Christian burial. Do I not have a right to bear a grudge, Pawian? Why would you deny me my holy right of grudge bearing?

German experts

Don't get me started on German experts. I am simply using my amateur strategist skills to predict the future.

pawian

Do I not have a right to bear a grudge, Pawian?

Yes, you have but it is nonsensical. Polish citizens erect monuments to Polish murderers of other nationalities or ethnic groups. We talked about it in cursed soldiers thread. Don`t you understand that karma always returns and your demand for Ukrainian atonement is futile as long as Poland honours her murderers ?????????????????????

I am simply using my amateur strategist skills

Sigh!!! Thanks. Now I won`t be bothered any more. :):):)

Kania, is everything all right???

The people of Kursk have become martyrs for Holy Russia

russians are disposable.... no wonder Ukrainians don't want to be russian..... what will you do when you're disposable?

easier for me not to bear a grudge if it wasn't for the monuments

Who's responsible for more Polish deaths.... some Ukrainian guy who was never in a government or Saint Joseph...

Don`t you understand that karma always returns

Nope.

The concept of Karma is destroyed by the very existence of Germany in its current shape and form. If Karma was real, then for all the blood, suffering and tears that Germans caused, the Bundesrepublik Deutschland would resemble Somalia or South Sudan today. The fact that it's a rich and thriving country destroys the idea of Karma completely.

If anyone mentions karma to me, I say 'Germany' and they shut up (if they're wise).

Kania, is everything all right?

Perfectly all right. And don't underestimate my strategic prowess. :)

some Ukrainian guy

Bandera? F*ck him. Devils are using his anus mercilessly in hell every single day and will continue to do so for eternity. But it wasn't just him. It wasn't just OUN-UPA. It was Ukrainians - our neighbours, co-workers, friends etc. who did the slaughtering. If only it was just Bandera!

But this thread is not about my rightful grudges. Let's get back on topic.

If Karma was real, then for all the blood, suffering and tears that Germans caused,

They met their instant Karma in 1945 and later. And afterwards Goddess forgave them. Ha!

they shut up (if they're wise).

I am but I never do. :):):)

my strategic prowess.

I meant your unusual agitation undermined with certain melancholy undertone.:):):)

The westerners are a cowardly bunch

Germany perhaps. They are often cravenly self-seeking and underhanded.

no wonder Ukrainians don't want to be russian.

I was in Istanbul last week and was watching r*ssians behaving appallingly. Something not quite human about it, as if they think that the normal rules of behaviour don't apply to them.

@Maf
Have you seen the music thread? I made a couple of posts last night and had you partly in mind when I made them since I know you like that particular composer too.

They met their instant Karma in 1945 and later.

Not in 1945 and definitely not later. Unless you consider showering them with dollars, rebuilding their power and wealth, whilst allowing countless nazis, who never answered for their war crimes, to live lives of respected citizens all over Germany to be proper karma.

And afterwards Goddess forgave them.

God forgives. It's his job. But he also punishes. It's also his job.

Unfortunately, the punishment is usually left for the afterlife.

certain melancholy undertone.:)

I am Slavic, melancholy is my element.

@GefreiterKania

This idea of Germany acting as living proof that karma does not exist is an interesting one. I never thought about it that way. It does make sense.

The North Nigerians

Hey, stupid, do you know now how many civilians died in Ukraine since Feb 2022?

11,520 vs 4,500,000 in K, V, I, and A.

Yes, I know, Putin is a dictator who doesn't give a damn about human life...
Western "democracies", on the other hand,...

GefreiterKania

Brave Ukrainian heroes. They fight for their country well

If you mean Donbass, then they are the aggressor. Donbass is in Russia now because the citizens of Donbass want it that way. You know...self-determination...freedom to decide...

They fight because they have no choice. Give them a job and a place to live in Nebraska and then we will talk about those Ukrainian heroes.

GefreiterKania
20 Aug 2024  #802

then they are the aggressor.

Yeah, like in this old joke about an Indian chieftain, his Russian prisoner, and an AK-47 hidden in a backpack. *sighs*

Gotta catch some z's. Good night, everyone.

Novichok
20 Aug 2024  #803

Yeah, like in this old joke

500,000 Ukrainians are dead because they didn't get the memo about who owns Donbass.

It's Russia. No, Donbass will never belong to Ukraine just as Western Poland will never belong to Germany.

jon357

500,000 Ukrainians are dead

How do you know?

It's r*SSia.

It's Ukraine.

Donbass

It's Donbas.

how much Russian territory was taken by the Wehrmacht in 1941? 1942? "Slightly" more than what Ukrainians have taken now, wasn't it? Did it force Russia to surrender?

Excellent point of historical reference I wasnt thinking about.

Russia now said to be preparing to mobilize another 200K men by the end of the year. Ukraine simply cant keep up with the manpower disadvantage. While this invasion and taking of Russian land looks good to the pundits, it really is quite small. I saw a comparison made with Russian possession of Ukraine land compared with the Ukraine possession done on a map of Texas, and Ukraines moves are barely measurable. If they cannot hold the land, it could prove to be a very costly move.

Bratwurst Boy
21 Aug 2024  #810

it really is quite small.

Na ja....since the "operation to liberate Ukraine from the Nazis" was loudly thought about over in six weeks in Moscow now said Ukraine occupying russian territory, even as small as it is, after two years of fierce resistance, seems to me a huge thing....maybe even a turning point!

Ukraine could become Putin's Vietnam....and I doubt the Russians will accept losers ruling them. If Putin can't hold down puny Ukrainians he is done for, mark my words!

Even peace talks could be his end...then there were no plans for any talks with a strong, surviving Kiev...only a huge victory parade of the russian forces!
