You are a clueless wimp.
Did you actually read what I said in the thread today or do you just quote one sentence and immediately start shooting out of your arse?
Germany needs to pay for destroyed property outside actual combat.
And how do you plan to force them to do that? And what would the cost of such enforcement be? Do you want the money so much that nothing else matters? Do you take anything else into account (geopolitical situation, future relations, balance and safety)?
They are shameless for trying to avoid it.
Yes, but they have their own problems and reparations in the amount requested by Poland would ruin them. Do we want to ruin our ally? Yes, they should figure out the way without calling it reparations - maybe something similar to what BB and I agreed upon? But they are not willing to. So what are we going to do? Ruin the relations with our largest trade partner? Destabilise the western flank whilst we have fire on the eastern one?
Also, Scholz's visit to Poland was a slap in the face. A slap in the face that we took without complaining (a disgrace for Tusk). But what do we do, Iron? Stubbornly demand $1.3 trillion (or whatever the final sum is supposed to be) or do we stop pursuing reparations and negotiate some other sort of compensation (a set of special rules for Poland within the EU, beneficial preferences for energy production and transport etc.)? Do we fight for all and win nothing? Or do we win as much as we realistically can in the given circumstances?
