Russians don`t have enough people
Col. Gen. Syrsky, the Ukrainian military's commander in chief - gave his first interview a few days back. It was to The Guardian.
He said some important things there, that people have been trying to confirm for a long time.
Perhaps the most important thing, was he confirmed that Russia invaded with a force of 100,000 men. He says this number is now north of 500,000 - and by year end could reach 690,000.
The number of tanks has doubled since Feb 24, 2022. The number of artillery systems has tripled.
So while you folks continue writing here about Russia running out of weapons or men, the people there are stating that the trend is in the opposite direction.
Two days ago, the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe said that in 5-7 years Russia will be ready for a war with NATO. Again, a very strange thing to say if Russia is running out of everything.
Bottom line: there's going to be almost 7X more men on the front by the end of this year, than there were in the initial invasion.
Large and capable reserve formations are being assembled in the rear. The same cannot be said about Ukraine, which has to move units from one sector of the front to another in order to "put out fires".
Thank you Guardian!
P.S. - Another strange conclusion emerging from Syrski's numbers, is that Ukraine cannot possibly be killing 1,000 Russians per day. For a long time, they claimed that Russia loses 1,000 per day, but also recruits 30,000 per month. In other words - Russia could replace losses, but not much more. These projections of Russia going from 520K to 690K within a year, show that Russian losses are either much smaller than claimed, or recruitment is much more successful than they argue.
