Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 16

, and once US support is pulled or lowered gradually

Would be interesting to see any local governor walk in front of his voters and declare: "Good news, everyone! We are closing the shells factory and firing 1500 people! No more guns for Zelensky! No more jobs for you!".

@mafketis
Its not a US problem and the US should give zero security guarantees unless Ukraine guarantees things for the US. Ukraine had a deal offered to it almost three years ago that would have continued its existance, and they walked away. Now they have less land and less to negotiate with. Stupid position to take. When Russia invades again? There is no guarantee they will or will not invade. The past is not an indicator of the future, if it were, Kumala would be taking the oath in 7 weeks.

@Korvinus
Just to replace all depleted stocks those factories will be open for a decade. And considering how the rest of NATO is resupplying, and building up, again that probably adds another ten years for them. So, "good news everyone" the MIC wins and will continue to make money and prepare for the next war.

What should Ukraine guarantee to the US ? Not to invade NN ?

PolAmKrakow

What should Ukraine guarantee to the US ?

That is the question isnt it? There is nothing Ukraine can offer the US as a nation of people. The only thing Ukraine can offer is to banks and industry, and they are the ones who have pushed for the war to continue. Nothing would make me laugh more than to see Citi and Blackrock completely lose out on everything they wanted to have in Ukraine. These companies have destroyed people in the US, and would only do the same in Ukraine. So I ask you, what can Ukraine give to the people of the Unted States to make those people feel alright with all the money that has been spent? How can Ukraine now calm Americans who are getting reports of all the money thats been stolen out of the US funding? No arguments about the US has to in order to lead the world, because there is zero basis for that argument. Just one or two really solid points for Americans to feel good about hundreds of billions given to Ukraine.

There is nothing Ukraine can offer the US as a nation of people.

It offered nuclear disarmament (after being threatened with a new holodomor) so..... how did that work out?

After Ukraine no country will voluntarily disarm and a nuclear arms race will begin which will culminate in nuclear hostilities.

That's baked in now.

PolAmKrakow

@mafketis
No. It offered to get rid of its nukes on its territory that it did not control anyway. Russia always maintained control.

Have you not read Zelensky's MEGA-SUPER-DUPER "Victory Plan"?

For America he has two hooks:

1) The Ukrainian military will replace the US military in Europe, taking on its job of ensuring European security. This would allow the US to refocus its attention on the more important Pacific region.

2) US companies will receive priority treatment, when it comes to exploiting Ukraine's vast mineral wealth.

Yep, that's Zelensky's plan. Become Europe's gendarme, and sell out his country's last remaining wealth.

The US didn't do too well out of Iraq, even though on paper it should have been a no-brainer. ExxonMobil and ChevronTexaco ended up leaving after a few years, being unable to "do deals" with local officials. Russian and Chinese companies are the main operators in Iraq now.

Halliburton and Schlumberger still made a lot of money providing services to the oil companies. So... Dick Cheney as former CEO of Halliburton still did quite well by his company.

It offered nuclear disarmament

PAK beat me to it.

Ukraine gave up what it never owned anyway.

This would allow the US to refocus its attention on the more important Pacific region.

...as well as...

...crumbling bridges, decaying cities, inner city illiteracy, deficits, debt, crime, drug addiction, homelessness, migrant invasion, underemployment, potholes,...

Russian and Chinese companies are the main operators in Iraq now.

...because neither one demanded x percent of new hires in Iraq to be LGBTs - especially in Mosques...

It offered nuclear disarmament

Do you ever read what Bobko and PAK post?

Ukraine was never armed with nukes. Ukraine was merely a storage facility.

Just as Montana, South Dakota, and Wyoming and not nuclear states just because they have fed ICBMs.

@Novichok

I wonder how Europeans look themselves in the mirror, when a third world country is negotiating with the United States behind their back about protecting them.

Europeans are so impotent, that Zelensky doesn't even feel it necessary to sell them on these things - he just goes straight to the US.

450 million people, albeit with a GDP per capita lower than Mississippi or Alabama, need a country without electricity or hot water to protect their asses from a country of just... 150 million asiatic orcs.

They don't make elves the way they used to.

Bobko

GDP per capita lower than Mississippi or Alabama

It was quite eye opening for me, when I realized that Mississippi is richer than the UK or France.

For people not well versed in geography - Mississippi is a third world country inside the United States. 40% of its population is black. The remaining 60% are toothless hillbillies. Many adult people are not able to read at an 6th-grade level, and people routinely die from simple medical problems.

This state is richer than any in Europe save Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, and Monaco.

I am too...whatever...so I need help with the above...
Europeans are so impotent,

It's hard to offer help when one is already on welfare or a leash...

Western Euros' only mission is to be happy. See Denmark and Norway. They left the adult stuff to us. Our problem is that they don't shut up.

I see red when these azholes tell me that defending Europe is only for our benefit and that they are just being nice to us.

Eyes Wide Shut

Care to explain wtf you are talking about? To me - it's you that's blinkered.

What do I not see? That we are dirt poor in Russia? Let this not concern you.

amiga500
26 Nov 2024  #915

Let this not concern you.

Why should that not concern me? that you try to claim you are the foreleader in the multipolar world and 30 percent of your country lives in extreme poverty? don't worry it's the same in china

a bit better in USA, and a damm whole better in Europe.

Bobko
26 Nov 2024  #916

Why should that not concern me?

1) Despite being infinitely poorer than Europe, it's us that hold the trump cards now. You played all your cards in 2022, and the result was a big nothing.

2) Russia is destined to be wealthy and always a player. Meanwhile, you are shrinking back into yourselves, and behaving like total pygmies.

3) We will never allow for our fate to be dictated from Washington, Beijing, Brussels, Mars, or wherever. You are deep into the process of selling your soul to faceless bureaucrats in a foreign capital.

We'll solve our problems, and we'll be back. You - you're gonna be gone soon.

You don't have a single tech start up which is known around the world.

Your economic growth is close to zero - even though it's us that's the most sanctioned country on Earth.

Your women don't want to make kids, so you are replacing them with the citizens of Sub-Saharan Africa.

You can't go to space without Russian or American help.

You can't provide yourself with the basic energy needs necessary for survival.

In general, you are a bunch of losers that make me ashamed to be European. Better an asiatic Orc than a harried peasant.

where did you get this one from?

Bobko

where did you get this one from?

Facts? Life?

I'm confident Europe has huge energy potential.

Poland alone has enormous shale deposits. The Netherlands are one big gas field. The North Sea can feed you for another 100 years. There's gas and oil in the Mediterranean as well...

It's all your own work. Your regulatory framework, your politicians, your voters - everything.

This is why you find yourself absolutely reliant on fields in Pennsylvania and Khanty-Mansiysk Oblast.

you're gonna be gone soon.

And then what? replaced by the asiatic hordes?
You are deep into the process of selling your soul

Whatever the west does the russians do in equal measure.
Ibelieve it used to be called perestroika.

Bobko

replaced by the asiatic hordes?

I don't know.

Unfortunately they make even less babies than we do.

I guess it will have to be Africans.

amiga500
26 Nov 2024  #922

Unfortunately they make even less babies than we do.

What is the reason for that? Is it Genetics? No. It's economic security and stability. Ideally a woman wants to have 2-3 children. So as societies become more richafied and mellowized..
In evolutionary psychology let's study the difference between chimpanzees and bonobos.

The Netherlands are one big gas field.

the biggest gas deposit in the Netherlands and Europe (the Groningen field - hardly the whole Netherland) was largely depleted (it was being exploited since the 60's IIRC) - they stopped extracting gas from the field because the inhabitants of the area started experiencing more and more earthquakes

also if the coal industry in Poland isn't phased out entirely it can prove quite easy to start it all out again when for example Poland leaves the EU (or say the mood towards coal changes in Brussels)

as for gas from shales in Poland: it is not economical at the moment to extract it - contrary to the US gas bearing shales in Poland lie quite deep (it will probably be long before it becomes economical)

Bobko
26 Nov 2024  #924

In evolutionary psychology let's study the difference between chimpanzees and bonobos.

The point is you're a bunch of pussies, with one foot already in the graveyard.

Why should we care about somebody who is already entirely checked out?

because the inhabitants of the area started experiencing more and more earthquakes

In Pennsylvania (Utica and Marcellus Shales specifically), there were 6,000 earthquakes within a single year. Nearly all of them 2.0 and below on the Richter scale.

In Texas, earthquakes are happening constantly in and around areas of active exploration.

In Siberia, we still have not had to tap shale - we are still exploiting traditional fields.

If you wanted to, you could ignore the earthquakes the same way they do in Texas, Pennsylvania, and Oklahoma.

Meanwhile Russia's economy is collapsing.
The prices of basic goods such as potatoes, milk, and butter have skyrocketed, coinciding with a noticeable rise in theft-related crimes.
Interest rates in Russia have surged to a record 21%, while inflation has reached historic highs.
Quoting:
For nearly three years, the Russian economy has been heavily focused on supporting the war effort, prioritizing the mass production of missiles, tanks, and military uniforms.
Recently, several top executives from major Russian companies warned that many businesses might permanently shut down due to the country's dire economic situation.

It offered to get rid of its nukes on its territory that it did not control anyway.

In chaotic post-soviet space that is not a given.... and it was only a small part of a plan of complete disarmament of Ukraine. Obama himself took part in a delegation to supervise disarmament in Donbas so that when the russians invaded the Ukrainians could not defend themselves.

At present the New Axis Powers (r,c,i and nk) are cooperating in a broad array of assaults against western interests (pro-russia candidate being 'helped' by a Chinese company winning in romania recently). Numerous foiled sabotage efforts.

Just saying 'not my problem' isn't going to cut it when they really get rolling.

WWIII is already here (thanks to russia and sh|twit western 'leaders' like Obama, Merkel and Biden) and will probably involve nuclear strikes at some point.

wishing it weren't so won't change that.

In other news, the ruble is..... not doing well, having fallen to the lowest rate since March 22. Word is it will probably bottom out at around 122 to a dollar (that's supposedly what the government is preparing for)

Nabiullina has done what she could but dead cats only bounce so many times.... and the country is probably head for stagflation... especially since no one listens to her.

Fortunately for the russian government, the economic well-being of citizens means nothing to it, russian sheeple will take any humiliation and never stand up for themselves.

Meanwhile, another of the Axis Powers (China) has been ramping up aggression against the Philippines (prelude to Taiwan?)

WWIII has already started while the collective west has its thumb up its dvpa worrying about 'escalation'....
