Brexit 2019 and Poland

Savage. Edinburgh is the refined one

Nah. Glasgow is real, and Edinburgh is plastic and full of druggies:):)
And from Glasgow it's half an hour to the Trossachs. Edinburgh is half an hour from golf courses.

authentic Pole.

You haven't been to Poland, have you? You're even less Polish than I am. Fool. A Polish name and Polish grandparents doesn't make one Polish. Now do one.

The pound and UK stocks surge

Obviously, because the markets want a resolution. That doesn't help the health service and austerity in general though does it. I realise that you are used to your Russian masters feeding you crumbs, but the UK used to have a sense of purpose and post war attempted to treat it's population with due care and diligence.

Not any more, and the money men always love the exploitation.

Glasgow is real

Have you ever read Bill Bryson's Notes From A Small Island? There's a great chapter on Glasgow and his visit to a Glasgow pub.

'Hae ya nae hook ma dooky?' he said.

'I'm sorry?' I replied.

'He'll nay be doon a mooning.' He hoiked his head in the direction of a back room.

'Oh, ah,' I said and nodded sagely.

'D'ye nae hae in May?' the man went on. 'If ye dinna dock ma donny.'

Bryson is also obliged to pretend to be partially deaf in order to avoid conversation with his taxi driver whom he finds equally unintelligible :D

I realise that you are used to your Russian masters feeding you crumbs,

My Russian masters are better than your Chinese masters.
Is acting like a moron in your DNA or is it acquired? I am asking because between you and cms it looks like a pattern. I mean that Russia thing,

BTW, did you send your congratulations to Boris? I sent mine to Vlad.

Thanks, Atch! Thought it seemed a trifle nineteenth century of me, but now I know:-)

Edinburgh is the refined one because it's Highland Scotland :))

Isn't it in lowland Scotland?

I have a soft spot for it (though I've never been) because 'the Prime of Miss Jean Brodie' is set there, I remember one scene where she's thwarbling something like "Remember you are Europeans" to them during an outing.

Get on a plane and go. Do it. Scotland is the best country in the world - though I would say that, with a Scottish father:) Edinburgh is the most expensive city in Britain though. My millionaire cousin is in residence, and it's great if you like cities.

the Oxford Dictionary of English, doesn't care about common usage, only about 'correct' usage

Just the usual Bo##ocks I would expect from you.
Are you even really Irish?
You spell "organise" the American way.
Maybe you are an Irish American troll from Boston......

I might also remind you that without Scots engineers you wouldn't have telephone, television, trains

Yeas, we would, Americans, Italians, and Russians would undoubtedly disagree with your statement. Besides, I hold no personal animosity towards Scots.
You should know better, and I am just yanking Doug's chain. As far as you are concerned, after your post, describing your countryman on the voyage of no return, and

your feelings, I simply can
dislike someone with a heart as big as yours

@Atch
I simply can not
dislike someone with a heart as big as yours

You haven't been to Poland, have you?

I skipped that area years before my birth.

Polish grandparents doesn't make one Polish. Now do one.

Right you are, absolutely not. Forty lousy pieces of silver, you call taxes will undoubtedly do, especially helpful is loosening your sphincter muscles,
while writing about Poland

You brought the level of eloquence to this forum nobody can match. That was a compliment, btw.

Yeah, right, Next you will tell me I am as handsome as Jabba the Hutt.:::)))

I simply cannot dislike someone with a heart as big as yours

I was at the wake of a guy with an enlarged heart. You didn't mean you wanted her dead?

Yeah, right, Next you will tell me I am as handsome as Jabba the Hutt.:::)))

I don't do sarcasm with friends. That technique is reserved for the enemies.

Isn't it in lowland Scotland?

It is indeed- oh the shame, the shame........I was confusing its physical location with Inverness. But the Edinburgh vibe is definitely more 'refined' than Glasgow. That being said, Glasgow of course has always been a great centre of art and there was that amazing school of Glasgow artists and artisans at the turn of the 19th/20th century. It's a fascinating place really.

ust the usual Bo##ocks I would expect from you.

Not my bo**ocks me old fruit, me old flower, the Oxford English Dictionary's bo**ocks. And even in the ODE as opposed to the OED, the entry is spelled 'organize' with an alternative spelling of organise shown below.

And two other positives, Corbyn gone and Swinson gone too.... :-)

Im sure you feel the same as I did knowing Crooked Hillary was gone, but she's rearing her ugly head again. It just shows how weak the Lib/Dem Presidential candidates are in the US as well.

Do you realize if Brexit is an economic success and it most likely will be with an US trade agreement, it very well may catch on and spread to other countries?

POLEXIT will be next...........

Atch
14 Dec 2019  #2683

It definitely won't. Poland is not the UK and in no position to go it alone. Doesn't have the necessary foundations. And don't hold your breath over the UK/USA trade agreement. They can't have that until after they've negotiated the EU trade agreement and that will take some time to thrash out.

POLEXIT will be next.......

In time it will happen.

Even for a Pole from the backwoods, you do strike me as a bit of an idiot. Where do you think the money came from to drag Polish infrastructure screaming into the 20th century? From storks, where you mad religious people believe babies come from?

In the meantime, we who actually make our lives here and pay in are delighted that we get to have some modicum of a modern lifestyle - practically all of which has been made possible by EU funding.

You would instead have Poland 100 billion dollars in debt to the IMF.
Idiot. Now shut up if you're not prepared to be sensible and debate where the billions necessary for countrywide modernisation would come from otherwise.

From the heterosexuals of opposite genders. The AI babies - from China.

if Brexit is an economic success and it most likely will be with an US trade agreement

The U.K. is already one of the biggest trading partners of the US. What else do the Brits have to sell us that it will have a noticeable impact on their exports and their economy?

Ironside
14 Dec 2019  #2688

Idiot.

I get you can see it that way. Yet, I still maintain Poland should leave EU. That organization is good for nothing.
Not good for Poland for certain.

Rich Mazur

Memo to the "EU is good for Poland" Polish patriots: Did you for a moment consider that the money Poland gets as the EU welfare is forcibly taken from the people that owe Poland sh*it?

Even for a Pole from the backwoods, you do strike me as a bit of an idio

As the only idiot among members, I assume you have addressed this product of alcohol ruined mind, to me. I know I am wasting my time trying to break through your thickest of the thick skull, but from one idiot, from the backwoods to a guru from the Scottish bogs.

You must have exhausted your intellectual reserves if you are asking where the money is coming from. Let me enlighten you with an easy answer, from the same nest of western bloodsuckers, who are robbing us blind stealing our best and the brightest. Every bank or foreign institution invest thousands, only to take out millions out of the country.

Not altruists, they project to be at all, rather the nest of parasites. They would backstab Poland in one millisecond if the better deal, the better workforce was available to let's say in Scotland or Burundi. Don't try to pass your abnormal perception as genuine, authentic truth. We are no longer illiterate masses, I dare to say we are better than you and improving fast

Dougpol1
15 Dec 2019  #2692

"We" are. I have just spent a pleasant evening at a Christmas party, where the ten or so males ( the women were tending to their brats) were better educated, have better prospects, and have far more money than I ever had.

They would all no doubt agree that it was Polish accession to the European Union that gave their businesses or expertise the room to grow and flourish. But your nonsense agenda is so far up your own arse that it is lost in translation.

We have already ascertained that you have never been to Poland and know nothing of the realities here, other than what grandad told you. Now stop making yourself look foolish; I am almost starting to feel pity for you.

Przelotnyptak1

That organization is good for nothing. Not good for Poland for certain.

Very good for Germany and France it is called modern colonialism. Don't worry Iron, the right time is approaching fast

were better educated, have better prospects, and have far more money than I ever had.

Don't forget to acknowledge, "By far, better looking, not to mention better table manners.

But your nonsense agenda is so far up your own arse that it is lost in translation.

Don't be bashful; you are not the only one dreading translation after a surplus of drinks. Eventually, an alcoholic cloud dissipates, and you are back to your subnormal self.

Then you can try to explain what my agenda is. I am so dense I failed to realize I do have an agenda.

Poland and know nothing of the realities here, other than what grandad told you.

you have never been to Poland and know nothing

Yeah, I was planning my visit to Poland in the future, three to four years was my goal. Sadly my Polish needs some improving. What my jester granddad taught me was not very helpful , useful if I ever decide to speak, in style similar to your postings, in other words crude , vulgar and full of obscenities.

I tried my grandfathers Polish in the restaurant, instead of food I got a black eye, from a pretty waitress. Must have been something I ordered.

Sadly I am postponing my voyage, until my Polish improves. I am next in line for a spot in Pan Lyzko's school of Polish Language and good behavior

I am so dense I failed to realize I do have an agenda.

The art of mixing self-deprecation and sarcasm at its best...Subconsciously, you must have one.

My agenda is to collect morons - just like some people collect stamps and coins. In fact, I am planning to announce my choice of Moron of the Year soon.

Would you like to submit yours for my consideration? Just make sure it's not me.

Must have been something I ordered.

You are not supposed to order THAT so damn loudly, for crying out loud. You should have asked her out to dinner and a movie first.

No, I spell it the way the Oxford English Dictionary spells it and says it should be spelt.

We Brits spell it the same as the French, with an S.

Z is American.

Confused?
You spell civilized with a 'z' in this post.

Bottom line.
I spell the word in a way some Brits do.
You post it in the way some Brits and all Americans do.
What is proved here is that I come from The British Isles.
As for you.
This is not conclusive,
