It's already been said in Poland that it won't be mandatory. Hungary was rumored to be having mandatory vaccine but even that isn't true

If you don't want to take it that's no problem.

I imagine they are producing it now so it can be rolled out after approval. If the best that governments can do is 5-6 months then the market will fill that gap and some country will approve it and start dishing it out to whoever can afford it for a fee (maybe Brexit Britain will do that ?)

Ok, in your original post you linked to a different article which didn't mention that date. However, it's still pretty unrealistic. Can't see the vaccine being available within two weeks of EU approval.


Really can't see that going down very well in the UK. It will go to health care workers first and then to the vulnerable. After that, the public will expect it to be available on the NHS.

I also can't see it going down well but the fact is that people who can afford it won't want to wait until the governments sort it out (and no government has done very well during this crisis). It might be that some small country like Switzerland etc starts to offer it commercially.

Last I heard it was going to cost about $40 each.
The rich don't care and the poor will get it free from some welfare program like the flu vaccine.

I was wondering if making a dry ice factory for the vaccine will be profitable in Poland,a friend is already working on it in here and already has purchase orders.

Now they are saying that a half doze is more effective then a full one.
If true that would allow twice as many people to get booted up.

Also air lines said that all international flights will require a vaccination certificate or you don't fly.

Maybe the drug companies will take credit since they made it. WTF is wrong with people thinking any President should get credit? The whole world paid in advance for companies to develop this, and it was not solely done in the US.

What do you mean EU will make it free? Make it free to whom? The EU doesn't control the healthcare policies or spending of individual member states. Every EU country decides for themselves how to distribute the vaccine and in most European countries we have at least partially state-subsidised health care, where people do not expect to pay for vaccines.

Also nobody will be forced to take the vaccine in civilised EU countries - can't speak for the nut jobs like Hungary.

Yes of course I would prefer the Pfizer one - I'm not one of the people who think it's a Bill Gates experiment in mind control.

As for Russia and China of course I am skeptical about their vaccines but the think about Trump is that as a proven liar and fantasist he is not really considered any more trustworthy than Putin or the Chinese. It will take a few years for America's reputation to recover from this.

So here in Poland god knows what the real numbers of infections are but for the first time in weeks we are under 300 deaths.

I have no problem with it for international flights. I don't need to go back to the US for the next few years unless I want to. By then this will be old news. Vaccines don't scare me, I have had most of them. Not paranoid by a chip either because they are easily disabled if it ever happened. China was the first with a vaccine. Think we didnt have corporate spys stealing their info?

Operation warp speed is not about developing at warp speed, its about approval and distribution. Approvals are coming fast for all three vaccines for this. Of course he can take credit for reducing roadblocks, but not for producing the vaccine. Only those companies deserve credit. They got the money up front and they made it happen because they had the money.
