Coronavirus in Poland

Do Dr Whitty and Dr Fauci have inappropriate loyalties?

Absolutely !
Fauci has been in the Swamp going all the way back to the Reagan era and knows exactly what is going on.
He very much is loyal to the top politicians.
He is their mouth piece and says what they want him to say.
He is the highest paid private mouth piece our government has.

washingtontimes.com/news/2021/feb/15/dr-anthony-fauci-scientist-or-political-monster/

Think about it.
Any relationship that you're in, if someone is constantly changing the rules, you trust them less.
And you see Fauci and CDC time and again moving the goalposts, and the American people are fed up with it.
Fauci sort of reminds me of every bad weatherman, frequently wrong, but never in doubt.
Why it Matters
A Republican lawmaker hit out at Fauci after former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said the NIAID director had been inconsistent on the issue of face mask efficacy and the delivery of a COVID-19 vaccine.

The only thing consistent about the top infectious disease 'expert' was his supposed inconsistency.
He is far from being any kind of a scientist, jon.

ivermectin ... death rate

At least having taken cats' worming tablets, they won't die of worms.

He is far from being any kind of a scientist

He's a scientist and a distinguished one.

You aren't; you're a retired blue collar worker.

Who to believe...

Spike31
15 Mar 2021  #5193

to be honest a handful of deaths and the severe reaction is terribly sad but are minimal compared to the overall benefit of this vaccine...

So those experts from the governments of Germany, France, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Norway, and Iceland who banned AZ vaccines are bad and the experts from Astra Zeneca are good experts, right?

How can you tell which experts are good and which ones are bad? The bad ones have evil smiles, right?

He's a scientist and a distinguished one.

Says who ? You? a retired ex-pat language teacher ?
He is far of being any kind of a scientist, jon, and you know it.
He is more of a politician than he is a scientist. lol
Now quit trying to bury my informative post that makes you look silly.

Says who ?

Pretty well everyone.

He is far of any kind of being a scientist

He's a distinguished one. Even very..

And I'm not retired...

He's the Director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and the Chief Medical Advisor to their President.

And I'm a long long way off retirement...

No jon, simply not true.
Don't believe CNN, they lie.

Don't believe CNN,

I never watch them. They're obviously more reliable than Faux News, however they don't appoint scientists to senior posts.

He's a distinguished one.

No, there are two Faucis, not one.
Fauci 1: virus don't jump. Fauci 2: virus jumps.
Fauci 1: masks don't. Fauci 2: masks do. I lied.

21,045 new cases on Thursday, and currently increasing. PLN has dropped a little again which isn;t necessarily a bad thing.

"What will this end with? No one knows. Forecasting when society is averse to restrictions is very difficult," PAP quoted Wlodzimierz Gut, a virologist, as saying.

they don't appoint scientists to senior posts.

Because Fauci is not a scientist unless you can post such credentials that say otherwise.

Pretty well everyone.

Who is everyone, I hope you don't mean uninformed foreigner's that only read fake news.

jon357
16 Mar 2021  #5202

So many self appointed experts here who think they know more than actual Virologists.

We'll be seeing anti-mask propaganda and 'great reset' rubbish next.

'great reset' rubbish

yeah.... who could believe a crazy idea like that...

pbs.twimg.com/media/ElAIWEpWkAAxcQ1.jpg

It's not like people are talking about it or anything

weforum.org/great-reset/

"There is an urgent need for global stakeholders to cooperate in simultaneously managing the direct consequences of the COVID-19 crisis. To improve the state of the world, the World Economic Forum is starting The Great Reset initiative."

Lockdowns Good

Yes. One of the very few positives of this whole pandemic has the environmental effect.

positives of this whole pandemic has the environmental effect

Which is one reason that governments are so determined to keep them going no matter the societal, education or economic costs....

jon357
16 Mar 2021  #5207

that governments are so determined to keep them going

If anything, the opposite is true.

mafketis
16 Mar 2021  #5208

You're paying attention to what they say.... classic rookie mistake. Instead pay attention to what they're doing... which is extending lockdown and saying that even 100% vaccination won't end them any time soon...

jon357
16 Mar 2021  #5209

which is extending lockdown

Most of the countries which have had to lock down are doing their best to end it.

Why would any country introduce lockdown unnecessarily?

mafketis
16 Mar 2021  #5210

Now you're asking the right question!

The answer isn't very hard to find once you know what ask.....

Who has benefitted massively from lockdowns.... why would they want them to end?

Novichok
16 Mar 2021  #5211

Why would any country introduce lockdown unnecessarily?

At least four reasons:
1. "We have to do something" - no matter how stupid.
2. Nobody gets re-elected with "he did nothing while people were dying" on his back.
3. Power is intoxicating and addictive.
4. All governments want more people to depend on them. Making people poorer is one of the best ways.

jon357
16 Mar 2021  #5212

The real answer is simpler. Lockdowns save lives.

Crow

And quite effectively slow down economy.

mafketis

. Lockdowns save lives.

How? Covid is spread in enclosed poorly ventilated spaces... how does keeping people in such spaces save lives?

Lockdowns save lives.

This conversation is getting dumber by the minute. Lockdowns of what? Businesses or people?
If businesses, why are some locked and some are not? If Home Depot can stay open, why not a gym or a bookstore?
Locking people without a court order is a felony. Only a court order should force a person to be under house arrest.

Not Childrens lives.

Old folks, too. If locking people up saved lives, we wouldn't be watching Cuomo demise. He killed thousands by locking them in nursing homes. If they stayed outside, they would be alive longer.

Why do I have the feeling like we are talking to a brick?

Spike31
16 Mar 2021  #5216

and 'great reset' rubbish next.

That wasn't us. We stay away from such nasty things :-)

It was Justin Trudeau, a prime minister of Canada who was perpetuating such conspiracy theories. Shame on him.

His official speech about the opportunity for a reset:

perpetuating such conspiracy theories. Shame on him.

Don't be silly. There's the concept of sustainable economics and there's a conspiracy theory based on it, spread by Americans with malicious far-right views.

As usual, you're trying to spread fake news.

Covid is spread in enclosed poorly ventilated spaces... how does keeping people in such spaces save lives?

That's one of the sillier posts in this thread; and there's a lot of competition...

Home Depot can stay open,

In Poland?

mafketis
16 Mar 2021  #5218

That's one of the sillier posts in this thread

How so? Do you have research showing that it spreads in the open air?

From actual research:

""In none of the 8 countries and in none out of the 16 comparisons (against Sweden or South Korea) were the effects of mrNPIs *significantly negative (beneficial).""

and

""It is possible that stay-at-home orders may facilitate transmission if they increase person-to-person contact where transmission is efficient such as closed spaces."

*mrNPI more restrictive non-pharmaceutical intervention

So.... how is this silly again?

Spike31
16 Mar 2021  #5219

As usual, you're trying to spread fake news.

...by linking to an official Justin Trudeau speech...

You are a bot. You just don't know that, because if you knew that you would stop being a bot.
