Actually, during the mornings, on side streets in rynek, there is a lot more homelessness than before. A lot more people getting food in small church kitchens. A lot more people begging, but the beggars are being pushed to side streets by police. Thats really about all the police are doing publicly. Many more homeless sleeping in the park near the Grunwald monument.
As for patent extension, true, if the patent expired no direct royalty "has to be paid". However, if another patent of the compound was developed after a change in the compound, the royalty has to be paid by law until the expiration of the second patent, and if that second patent is covered by an updated third patent it can be extended again.
I really dont care about the patent side of things, someone is making money on it, that much I would bet my house on. If this guy didnt renew his patent, he is simply stupid because vet's are making a killing with this medication.
Remdesivir in Poland is actually very cheap a Dr friend of mine has some in his fridge at home just in case.
In Poland though, and I hope to focus on Poland, it is a disaster, and this medication even if for argument sake works, is not going to get approved here, and PiS is going to poop the bed again with this next lockdown. Living here, seeing it actually happen, seeing real devastation, real lives destroyed, is very hard to watch. Make no mistake this is a PiS problem now. They own all of this.
