dust masks
I don't know how the situation in Poland is, but in Germany, people now wear FFP2 masks which offer significantly better protection to their wearer than "dust masks".
I don't take a virus with mortality rates similar to the common flu as a serious threat to my life.
With similar you mean up to 10 times as deadly?
it is thought to be substantially higher (possibly 10 times or more) than that of most strains of the flu.

But yeah, what do those guys know compared to someone with a calculator... . The only reason why the death rate is still relatively low is because the strict anti-covid measures prevented our hospitals from being overwhelmed. Once no beds are available, people will die in droves as currently happening in Brazil.
And mortality rates are only part of the problem. An even greater number who survive the virus suffer from long covid, which as it seems can seriously screw up your life. A former classmate of mine (aged 31) got very sick half a year ago, and while she did not have to go to a hospital, she has yet to regain her sense of taste and smell, and is so far unable to resume her former fitness regime. And this is a relatively mild complication, compared to those who are unable to even walk stairs anymore after their illness is over. Heck, Brazil has seen a shocking number of children and young people die of the disease.
