Coronavirus in Poland

A quarter of the population has received their first dose in Ireland and case numbers have been falling steadily for the last four months. But maybe that's because we haven't eased the restrictions at all during that time. For example you can't have visitors to your home but you can meet with one other household outdoors. Two fully vaccinated people are allowed to meet indoors but have to wait for two weeks after they've been vaccinated.

Such as? Because studies have shown that lockdowns do work.

For one, people seem to underestimate how many people need to be vaccinated in order to reach her immunity (around 80-90%). With maybe 25% being vaccinated, most European countries are still far away from her immunity. Because with 25% people vaccinated, there are still 75% who can catch the virus. Additionally there are new mutations that are even mlre infectious than the previous one. Finally there is also complacency involved, many countries have started to ease restrictions despite insufficient vaccination rates and are now paying the price.

hospital admissions: -212 (not that many but last Tuesday had an increase, so now it's 7 days in a row with negative numbers... so good

A couple of days back, I questioned the "science" of 6 feet and suggested that it's a product of rectal activities on the part of the ignorant, let's do something, covid morons.

Sure enough, a recent study confirmed my suspicions and showed that 6 vs 60 makes no damn difference. If it's in the air, you will suck it right in because that stupid mask is good for fishing, not to catch viruses. If that 6 feet mattered, there would be no more than 20% plane occupancy and no elbow-to-elbow packing.

But, the obedient, never say how come sheep never said how come it's 6, took it as gospel and printed a billion of those idiotic floor stickers and trained the distance zombies to look at others like they were lepers.

I agree with the poster who wrote that masking up kids is child abuse.

While opinions differ on this various sources suggest that 70% vaccination is the threshold for herd immunity, providing that includes both vaccines if required and perhaps a week or two for the immunity to build up. That's not to say that 80 or 90% won't be achieved of course but I think we have to realistic in accepting that a certain number of people won't or can't get it.

Herd immunity and a mirage are the same: you never get there because both are an illusion - one natural and the other a tool to manipulate and postpone.

Even if the numbers said you reached that mysterious herd immunity, the next goal post will be the unvaccinated - the people we must protect no matter the cost.

If it will take another trillion or two, it's only money, isn't it?

From what I have read, the problem appears to be that the new mutants are so insanely contageous that more than 70% will be required to achieve herd immunity.

1. And achieve what once we achieve that unknown herd immunity? What are we going to be allowed then?
2. Since the virus mutates insanely, herd immunity mutates, too. Right? And masks are forever, aren't they?

Good to see less hospital admissions in Poland, but not good to see an increase in deaths.....could the two be connected....are infected people who need a hospital bed being told to stay at home.....could this be the reason for the death figure to continue to be high....?

No. The thing is not to look at daily numbers by themselves... Wednesday (very occasionally Thursday) is the day with the highest number and Sunday, Monday the days with the lowest numbers.

What's good news is that the numbers are declining week to week so this Wednesday (while still high) is significantly lower than last Wednesday's number.

As we all know, any death with covid in the blood is always a covid death. But any death with the RNA injection in the blood is not a vaccine death.

Nearly all 65,000 "covid" deaths in Poland occured in the last 7 months.

Except that an old guy that died a little too early in 2020 will not die in 2021 again.
The problem for the covid terrorists will be how to explain that the total mortality in 2020, 2021, and 2022 is the same as in the three years before covid. But, by then, everybody will be happy that it's over and nobody will be inclined to ask such questions.

Yes but there is differnce, they have physcially run out of oxygen, in sweden there was plenty but they made the decision not to provide to aged care homes, and the elderly were not taken to hospital.
