They say that when the subject is they getting vaccinated. When the subject is my mask on my face that is part of my body, then I must wear that mask to save them. My mask on my face is no longer my choice anymore but theirs.

The mask is the most important self-defence!

If you don't want to inhale the virus you better wear a mask, that's it.

Even vaccinated people still can get infected and sick. The only difference is that the sickness may be not as strong, and the chances for survival are higher.

Vaccinated people and also people who recovered from an infection can of course still be the carrier and infect other people.

Not to mention that the current vaccinations won't help alot against the upcoming mutations like the "mu" variant, even three times vaccinated won't count for much.

You should wear a mask to save yourself in the first place, vaccinated or not! No matter what other people do or say...I for one trust the mask and the common safety measures alot more than the actual injections.

This is where the "my body, my fu*cking business" line comes in handy.

That " you have to wear it to save other people" is a sham. A way to pressure you into it.

You are ready to risk the infection? You should be able to do so....other people who don't want to can choose to get vaccinated and/or wear a mask, easy!

Thing is, that **** virus is here to stay. Alot of people still seem to believe once all get a shot of some vaccine or the other that nightmare will be over. That's why the vaccination-pressure is rising. But that's an illusion!

Looks like the Israelis are the first to start making a link with Myocarditis and the Pfizer vaccine, especially in young men.

This then begs the question on vaccinating children, In Amerca a preprint by reputable doctors estimates the rate of a cardiac adverse event after a second dose of the vaccine in boys aged 12-15 at 1 in 6200. t.co/bZBecW0nXi?amp=1

Vinjay Prasad is advocating for giving just one vaccine dose to children. Now I know the usual conformists will jump in and say myocarditis is mild and resolves it self, and the younger the better for the vax to save us from covid.

In the end hopefully rational people will make the correct decision between potential vaccine harm vs the harm caused by covid in children.

Masks don't protect the guy wearing them, they protect the other guy.
That's why you wear one to show respect for your fellow man.

I have faith in the science....that the scientists and doctors will come up in the end with the right drugs...for prophylaxis, treatment and maybe even cure in time.

Right now it's still all "trial and error" with no real data about the longterm consequences of the current vaccines....and that's why I'm still waiting.

Without the mask - 100%. With the mask - 90% since masks filter only 10%, if that much.
Now, this is the no-funny-at-all part...That mask catches 10% of everything that goes through it - in or out - and accumulates over time. So now the question is what is better - 100% of what's in the fresh air or 90% plus the filth that your Petree dish dispenses as you breathe in - including that exhaust from you your mask traps.

As always, the maskholes can only repeat with the maskholes with titles said before - that "masks work" and what they do FOR you and never what they do TO you.

Actually, the establishment was honest enough to say way back that masks DO NOT protect the wearer. Now, to promote the mask bs, they include the wearer as a beneficiary, too, with "masks protect you and others" but never mention that 10%.

Did "science" say anything about the effects of restricting airflow as you work in a warehouse all day long? If it did, they never mention it on teevee.

The thin blue ones are no help, thats true, but a certified FFP2 does a much better job than only 10%....


The same here in the beginning....as people still thought the thin one is a real mask because the surgeons in the hospitals wear them.


Now they are talking about the heavier and safer FFP2.....there is a difference!

(But I would really watch the certification...there is crap from China on the markets...the same name but cheap and worthless)

Just some info....a certified FFP2 is by law standardized to filter 94% of all the aerosol particles out of the air (DIN EN 149).

You can of course go a step further and get yourself a FFP3...that one achieves a filter of 99%!
(And they really mean it...they not only filter Covid19 out but all the smelly and unhygienic rest, heh:)

But again, be cautious of "bargains"...the cheap chinese crap not only doesn't work as well, these masks are notoriously uncomfortable...quality costs more!

The N95 which are very effective.
The results show that both expired N95 masks and sterilized N95 masks provided the same level of protection as new N95 masks with greater than 95 percent filtration. Other alternatives provided less protection.

Yeah....but a little suspicion never hurts.....especially with such a new thing like that chinese flu even the experts keep on learning something new every day...

But I know these studies, they are a good guideline!

PS: An unexpected side effect of the really good masks will be that alot less other air-infectious sicknesses will need to be treated, as these culprits all get filtered out too....

I heard "science" from the TV news readers more times than I said "moron" or "fu*ck". Yet, never numbers, but plenty of adjectives or tearjerking stories.

I want to avoid getting it into my body as long as possible...till they developed a proven and tested weapon against it. That is my priority for my body...my choice!

Not so good for the environment if everyone did that everyday. To be honest I think masks are mostly a temporary perhaps important sticking plaster to slow (not stop) the virus down until a sufficient number of people have been vaccinated. It just isn't a long term solution as people are getting fed up of it.

Masks were initially mandated because the official line (not necessarily related to science) was that covid is spread by droplets (and surface spread).

At present the scientific (if not political) consensus is that it is spread by aerosol so masks are kind of.... I won't say useless, but..... useless.

Also, they help to remind everybody about the pandemic (since it's easy enough to forget about if you're not obsessing about masks and distancing and disinfecting your hands).

I have recently read that cases of multidrug resistant tuberculosis has dropped significantly since 2020, the same might be true for otjer diseases as well.

Honestly after realizing how effective masks are, I doubt we will ever go completely back to how things were. Knowing how many old people die from influenca, no doubt many retirement homes will insist on visitors wearing masks. The same goes for hospitals. You ought to be a sociopath if you do not want to take those simple measures to protect others.

Did you miss the part in which not being exposed to things may have dangerous impact on our immune systems?

A good point, since most of our homes are much cleaner now and with less dust there has been an increase in asthma sufferers and other allergies.

I have an idea...We tend to spit when saying the letter "p". Let's ban all p words and issue citations to those who disobey.

Also, let's put a limit on how many words we are allowed to say out loud a day. After all, like the deaf people, we can learn sign language and spit no more.

Screaming, yelling, and singing should be punishable severely, too, and Zoom should be the only way to interact with other humans.

Pets should be illegal. When A touches the cat A deposits virus on the cat and B will get that virus when he or she pets said cat a moment later. The existing cats, instead of being "put to sleep" would have to be disinfected after each cat-human contact. Like tables and doorknobs.

After going #1 or 2, the restroom door will remain locked until the customer or worker washes his hands for at least 20 seconds.

The rest of the time you will be exposed to plenty, especially if you are around children.
Now that flu season is about to start I will have no problem wearing a mask while in public especially after the favorable results that we had last flu season from mask use.

If you mean some people will continue to wear masks in some contexts (of their own accord) then yeah. If you mean mask mandates then go find a cat and chase it a while and then get back to me and the answer is still NEIN!!!!!!!!!

One more idea...Masks should be required when having sex. Heavy breathers - two.
To allow police to monitor compliance, a CCTV camera will be installed in each bedroom.
Having unmonitored sex should be punishable by 5 years, a 10,000-dollar fine, or both.
