One key factor about Covid is that it can affect different people in different ways. Some people die from it, others are seriously ill from it, some have sypmtoms similar to a very heavy cold and a (vaccinated) member of my family in their 90s had it last month without symptoms.

I think I have an answer to that. Scientists still disagree on how long it takes to fully recover from Covid on average, which also includes no longer being a possible spreader of the disease. Some countries now list people as infected for 3-4 weeks after the diagnosis, perhaps Poland does the same?

Polio is considered to be virutally eradicated in the developed world but it's still prevalent in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Ditto tuberculosis which was once the scourge of western Europe and has been eliminated but there is a high prevalence of it in eastern Europe. The thing is that as long as any strain of a disease remains, it can be spread and unless 100% of the world's population is vaccinated the disease is likely to remain.

The implications of a pill treating only the sick directly competes with a vaccine.
Win-win. The corp get their cash cow and the vax-tards can now quaff pills and those not sick can finally be left alone.

If it works and every infected can be cured (I'm not sure if that pill is already there but it's a beginning) the pressure to be vaccinated will let up for sure...

In Germany all that hysteria is reasoned with the health system and it's inability to handle to many sick people at once....that reason should fall flat then!

Just a small point to contemplate... the vaccine is hurting and killing people, what makes people think that this pill won't do the same?

Big Pharma has ruined trust in medicine as a whole. They're raking in the dough now, but unless they can get government-mandated pharmaceuticals on an annual basis, they're just salting their own earth... and even the mandates will only kick the can so far down the road.

The amount of current research on this is huge, so hopefully yes.

It is not really hysteria though. Our health system is currently pushed to the brink, many medical professionals are burnt out from the current and previous stress and if we can not break the wave, we will soon have to implement drastic measures like 2G or a lockdown for the unvaccinated. My personal favourite would be denying unvaccinated medical care if there is a shortage of ICU, but that is likely not legally possible.

You know....as you watch how the media treats people who dare to have another opinion concerning vaccinations (like Volksschädlinge) it fits the bill of whipped up hysteria...

But I must admit I'm honestly positively surprised about my Germans. We have now one of the lowest vaccination quotas in Europe but historically we earned rather the image of a people of obedient and meek followers....but now other Europeans have definitely took that "award" from us.

German vaccination-deniers seem to be a sturdy rebellious bunch, not bowing to higher costs or threats at all....astounding! :)

Getting vaccinated is less about being obedient and more about listening to science and facts. Vaccination deniers are kinda like the guys who insist that the Earth is flat or that the FRG does not exist. Either completely caught in their own bubble, and or contrarians for contrarians sake in order to feel better.

Oh please....do you think we are stupid? That wasn't about saving money....or otherwise I wouldn't be forced to pay the medical bill for people like alcoholics who need a new liver....or food addicts who need a stomach stapling....or smoker who need new lungs....or car driver who use the absence of a tempo limit to hurt themselves and innocent bystanders etc. etc. etc.

That was solely meant as an instrument for punishment and pressure, and had nothing at all to do with our oh so poor government which otherwise shucks out tax payer's money for everybody and his grandmom with full hands gladly...even in far away countries.

Nothing is 100% safe in life. You can die from Pennicilin, yet people still take it because it saves vastly more lifes than it takes. The main problem is that the human brain is not wired to fully appreciate statistics and odds, which is why lotteries are a thing. You are hundreds of times more likely to be murdered than to win the lottery, yet people still think they have a chance. The vaccinations are reasonably safe by any measure...

they have been used on 500 million people so we have a good view on the risk compares to a Covid infection and an overwhelmed health system. My uncle was supposed to get a bypass surgery but they had to delay for weeks because the hospital is running out of ICUs. People who refuse to take the vaccine put not only themselves at risk, and others by potentially infecting them. They also add to the strain on our health system and cause additional vivtims down the line... all because they are too thick to understand statistics.

That would seriously annoy me - especially if I died while waiting.
