I haven't worn a
Yes you have.
that non-conformism is a positive thing
It is. Though if you want to try writing in a language other than your native one, you should perhaps choose a clearer term than one that is primarily associated with dissenting and austere religious observance.
ven though you are a model conformist.
No, I'm not. Far from it, and almost certainly far less of a conformist than you are or ever have been, despite whatever you may pretend here.
Rebel against things by all means (it's part of growing up), vote for who you like, live how you like (provided it doesn't harm others), say what you want, eat/drink/smoke/snort whatever you like, where whatever clothes you like, **** or be ****** by whoever you like (providing they consent). You can even grow your hair long, dye it in fancy colours and listen to whatever you like.
Where certain things are concerned however, for example speed limits/road safety, alcohol/substances and driving, infectious disease control, fire regulations, hurting minors and animal welfare, deliberate non-compliance with very specific and basic rules isn't being rebellious, it is being selfishly immature and it is a bore to hear about. It's nothing new. It's not big, it's not clever and nobody's impressed.
Nobody likes wearing masks or observing social distancing; yet it is not onerous, it exists for a very clear purpose and it is temporary. It is currently enforced by heavy fines. This is not because the grown-ups want you to behave like a good boy just for the sake of it, it is to prevent the spread of a disease that ends people's lives prematurely (including a member of my family) and which is currently putting a strain on hospital services in the UK and here in Poland.
If you dislike the legal requirements that you are subject to in the UK, you are not a prisoner there and are free to relocate to a society where the Covid restrictions are closer to your personal taste. Otherwise, grow up and stop pretending you're a rebel without a cause.
