And they've confirmed the first Omicron case in Poland. That's the first officially confirmed, not necessarily the first case to occur.

And France is upping its hybrid war with the UK by imposing travel restrictions. Bloody lovely since I'm (supposed to be) flying back to the UK from Warsaw next week via CDG.

So Astra Zeneca has been dropped from the British booster programme - despite having the same, possibly better results against serious disease.

In spring we were told you shouldn't mix vaccines.

MIn summer it was OK to mix vaccines.

Now in winter it's mandatory to mix vaccines - and in fact if you don't then soon you won't be able to travel.

Why has the initial advice changed so drastically?

Always grasping for straws.

A good question is how many think they have natural antibodies. Compare their antibodies over say a 6 month period to see levels and then calculate how long those antibodies help protect the person. Because they can only help protect against death and not infection.

Who knows?

The real issue is how many don't, and most importantly, how many people they pass the disease on to.

I was not aware you or anyone else agreed. And I am not a liberal, far from it. As for my sister, the MD, I trust her front line experience and education over any FOX or CNN type of reporting.

Since you had covid, why not get an antibody test once a month for six months and watch your own immunity fade? I am going to test the theory myself this week and over the next six months.

You could test negative after one month and that is what my M.D. told me when I ask to get one.
He told me not to waste my time.

Actually, the antibody test can not score negative one month and the positive another unless you had covid. You only get antibodies from the vaccine or actually surviving it. So as I get tested Saturday, and again on my return the following weekend, after getting the booster jab, I will continue to test once a month to measure the antibodies and how quickly they do or do not dissipate.

My sister was one of the first vaccinated in NYC. 90% of her hospital vaccinated. I am not and never claimed to be an authority. I am an independent thinker, and can analyze the numbers as well as anyone. The peak of this wave is either on us in Poland or ending, death peak will be 7 to 14 days from now and then a steep decrease. Vaccinations on the rise, and boosters on the rise.

I am unsure about my booster. There is radically different advice - Poland says 12 weeks after infection, Britain says 4 weeks. No idea which scientists are correct. But there seems to be so much rapid fire change of their views that maybe just roll with natural immunity ?

An antibody test does not detect the presence of the covid virus to diagnose Covid.
These tests can return a negative test result even in infected patients (for example, if antibodies have not yet developed in response to the virus) or may generate false positive results (for example, if antibodies to another coronavirus type are detected), so they should not be used to evaluate if you are currently infected or contagious (ability to infect other people).

This is why my M.D. said it is a waste of time to do an anti-body test, especially after you have been jabbed.
