I don't even know anyone who had a fever or running nose but I know many who had or have cancer.

The big problem is overloaded Healthcare in every country and not dead people from covid. Believe me I know it better.

Yes, severely in some places. Plus the strain on infrastructure when public sector workers such as fire officers, police, train drivers etc are off work ill. That and the very obvious factor of more cases = more mutations.


In Poland (and in other civilised countries) hospitals do not accept money from patients.

And this thread is supposed to be about Coronavirus in Poland ..........so many posts in this thread are written from an American perspective, discussing the American experience which, as far as hospitals and healthcare goes is nothing like Europe in general and Poland in particular.

Do you have any actual data from the hospitals or are you merely parroting the narrative pushed by the media?

Kinda like how there were claims of "severe ivermectin overdoses" when people started self-medicating with something better than the vaccine... but then actual hospital staff released a statement that not a single such case was in their hospital, debunking the claim of overloaded hospitals.

I want to see actual data sourced from actual hospitals, please.

I know thay it is more and more difficult to find a free bed in a hospital for patients with a heart attack, for example, and I know it from the "first hand".

Didn't have that back when I was a kid as my mother was my doctor and my bedroom was my hospital.
And I don't qualify for Medicaid because I am a responsible white male that has to pay my hospital bills out of my pocket.

Now when I walk into a hospital emergency room doubled over or with a broken arm bleeding, I have to wait for some rug rat with a snotty nose because they have free health care to abuse.

Then there are the rich Hoyte toyties that can afford the best healthcare plan available.

And the hospitals love it as they are getting very $rich$ on Covid patients.

No sh*it? I probably have it then too. For the past week or so I've had an irritation in my throat every once in a while like I just breathed in some dust and my lower back has been hurting. Considering I'm fine otherwise my immune system is going to take down Omicron easily.

Just landed in the States. KLM and Delta very hard on mask wearing. Constant announcements to a point it was pissing me off and keeping me from sleeping. Airport staff in Detroit, now only need to start goose stepping. Nothing close to how it was in Krakow this morning.

Can somebody explain why I need a mask on a plane where everybody is vaccinated and I am not coughing, sneezing, spitting, or speaking?

Then we shouldn't be forced to pay for testing if it carries no benefit. The airlines should pay for it or the government should pay for it. This has essentially become an additional "tax" on every ticket.

Europe is in winter.
South Africa is quite sparsely populated and has a low.vaccination rate.
I agree with you that Omicron seems to be less dangerous if more transmissible, but it's easy transmission can lead to high levels of death, even if it is less lethal.

And as for models.... they are a.waste of time.

Vaccinating healthy kids is more than absurd; it's child abuse and, thus, a felony. If I injected unproven and unneeded crap into my kids, I would be serving time now. Just because it's the government covid Gestapo that does it doesn't mean squat - at least morally and medically.

My grandma passed from covid recently. She went in for leg swelling and caught it while in the hospital. There were 120+ people in her quarantine unit alone. When her condition became more serious the docs tried transporting her to another hospital that had a more intensive care unit. He called 10 other hospitals but they all refused to accept her - they were just as slammed as this hospital and they were putting younger people and others with a great survival probability over elderly people that were so far gone already. I feel so bad for her. Once they told her they're keeping her overnight she tried to escape, call the cops (idk why) so they could get her out, etc. She knew that if she stayed in the hospital it would be a death sentence, and she was right. I remember speaking to the docs like every 6 hours they'd provide an update (when they were either getting in/out of their hazmat suits) and you could just hear how tired and overwhelmed they were in their voice working 12-14+ hour shifts handling 120+ patients a day.

It's gone down a bit now but for a good two weeks the rates were insane - 20k+ cases daily out of a country with some 38-40 mil people... Poland's numbers weren't too far off from the USA was in the summer, difference is USA has an almost 9x greater population.


Depends what country and citizenship statues... in the USA they won't let you in unless you're fully vaccinated if you're not a US citizen, in Poland they'll make you quarantine at home for 7-10 days, a cop will come by and ask you to come to the window. Their method of checking your status at the airport is pretty lax - it's mostly self-reporting and them taking a quick glance at a vaxx card. USA also makes everyone take a test before entry - regardless of citizenship or vaxx status. Germany on the other hand won't let you in at all unless you're fully vaxxed (similar to USA though - exception applies for EU residents and German citizens)
