News began leaking about additional restrictions yesterday morning. Ministers have been talking about it on TV as a possibility for the last 12 hours. Likely to be limited travel between and in certain cities. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out where the numbers are increasing and why. I worked in Katowice on Friday and part of Saturday, it was deserted. Krakow like a ghost town. You see the occasional group of 3 to 5 people stopping to chat in the parks or leaving the grocery store, but thats about all I have noticed.

Additional measures are great. I doubt they will be able to keep people from walking. Not enough police to do that, but shutting off cities would be pretty easy to do and enforce. Totally ok with that, in fact its probably overdue.

Only 3 people a time per checkout in a shop (so if a shop has 5 checkouts, there's a limit of 15 shoppers a time), minimum 2 metres between people (with some exceptions), parks etc closed, as are hairdressers, piercing shops and similar. lso some new rules about quarantine.

They are controversial because the capacity constraints on the stores means some people will not be able to sho - there are 102.000 shops with an average of 2,5 tills .
