Poland under pressure of EU to accept more asylum seeking refugees

"I'm sorry InPolska but your sweeping generalisations are often simply ridiculous, childish and very unfair. "

Just another moron using "racism" as an offensive weapon...

G (undercover),

I know what you're saying. I went off topic re: the asylum seekers.
I was responding to InPolska's last post (not to the main topic), that's all.

from what i remember ,western states imposed economical sanctions on Poland in order to starve poles..and food was from polonia living in US.

Wrong! We guess you've never heard of Sue Ryder then?

Go back to school and learn about your commie past, and then get down on your knees and thank the British public for all the truckloads of food and clothes that the British public sent you in Martial Law. One of the truck drivers in the family firm gave his holiday time to drive over to the border post of Frankfurt -on- Oder and he was literally in despair when he returned, amazed that what we all take for granted was absent - that was no tooth paste, no sanitary towels; nothing in Fact, unless you queued for a week.

Jarelzelskie and his mob were guilty of crimes against the state and should have been hanged.

You know all that - but you are clearly corrupted by all the relative wealth you see around you. Spend some time with your grandparents and learn some humility.

Is there a Polish word for that? It definitely isn't being employed by most of the population. Some Poles have short memories, and are becoming an embarrassment to others.

Yet you dare to judge Syrians? You 'aving a larf mate.

As a trades union official I used to spend evenings going around London working men's clubs collecting money in a bucket. Little did I know then where I would end up!

Exactly!I don't know anybody who received a package from western Europe

Ask your grandparents then. My wife's parents still had British rice/spaghetti/flour etc when I met her in 1985. And everybody in the street in Dabrowa Gornicza had aid too.

Admittedly the Poles didn't need this stuff particulary, but the donors' hearts were in the right place.

"Some Poles have short memories, and are becoming an embarrassment to others."

Dude, by helping bring down communism Poles allowed your country to save hundreds of billions, slightly more than a few tonnes of 2nd hand clothes that you sent here were worth.

And you got to know that in the same way as you found out that 99% of Poles think that black people are apes? lol
I'm sorry InPolska but your sweeping generalisations are often simply ridiculous,

Vraiement, InPolska, Francois Hollande should keep an eye on you showing yourself off on this forum ...

Only 16% Poles according to GW would accept refugees.

This is not true. This shows the percentage of Poles willing to accept immigrants under no conditions whatsoevr. Vraiment, InPolska, you are manipulating facts to get even more attention on you ...

the loss of any respect for treaties and commitments and general infantilism and lack of responsibility and thus we have the present crisis as it is.

An amazing post - and I will respond this evening, as you were kind enough to write a well though out essay........ and it made sense in part, I'll grant you that (not meant to be patronising in any way ).

This chap you quote is off the wall though, as we know that Poland is supposed to spend a percentage of it's GDP on humanitarian aid, and it has clearly not "met its' commitments" up to now, if the media is to be believed.

Would you want that for your family?

War is hell. Suffering, death, destruction and refugees.
Man's inhumanity to man.
Real bombs, real bullets, real death.

You know, torturing people (by USA) is even more disgusting and shocking

War is disgusting and shocking especially when innocent people get killed.
If torturing helps save innocent lives then I am all for it.

let's not forget about CIA prisons in .... Poland! How awful!!!!

Those Muslims were ask about information that would save thousands of American lives.
They refused to talk so they made them talk.
In the process saving thousands of lives and not only American lives. Hardly awful in my book.
Remember when the Americans were tortured (just for fun) in Benghazi, before they were murdered, now that was awful !
What has to be determined is which one of these people are coming from a war disaster area and which ones are coming
from non war zones.
I have still yet to see any women between 20-30 years old to speak of.
Mostly young well fed men between 20-40 that could be fighting for their countries freedom.

Turn your country into 3rd world ******** If you like it so much, up to you

But your brothers share in that country known as The United Kingdom too now. But they shout the loudest about "immigrants" - Asians, Blacks, etc etc...

They are immigrants themselves - so the ridiculousness of their position is self-evident.

Why don't any of the poor refugees from Syria try to seek refuge in Saudi Arabia, for example? Saudi Arabia is a very affluent country, sparsely populated, with a bueatiful culture (and such an awful lot of oil !), with the same Muslim religion, plus you don't have to sail across the sea first to reach a shilty Greek island from where you have to trot further on, sometimes as far as to Budapest even. Instead they prefer to choose Germany as their rather distant destination. And last, but not least, Saudi Arabia could be a far better choice than Poland or Hungary, for example!

Just asking this genuine question, but maybe someone of the liberal agenda on this forum would kindly like to address it.

Many liberals are asking the same question. No-one appears to have a good answer.

Ha ha, I thought that at least InPolska has a good answer to that question.

What surprised me when I was watching the news yesterday was that those refugees did not only want to stay in Hungary, they also didn't like to stay in Austria! And Austria is a rich country, far richer than Poland or Hungary. All they wanted was getting to the Reich as quickly as possible. And I sincerely doubt if Brussels would be strong enough to quickly persuade 11,500 of them to let transfer themselves from the Reich to Poland.

Brussels has just decided: 11,500 migrants to Poland ....

A tiny number - and a fraction of those who've left Poland for the UK. Various politicians have said that emigration is a demographic crisis so this will help to ameliorate the situation.

Good news, but really only a tiny number.

Poland should agree to accept any number of Syrian refugees. There's little chance that any would actually stay here - they'll just run for Germany or Sweden or wherever they have distant relatives.

Britain for example hasn't got even this ...

Yet...

The figure there is likely to be far larger.

Not that any other country is the issue here, is it....

Anyway, soon we can expect plenty of change.

This is entirely the point - does anyone believe that they will willingly go from a country where they can find work, where they're (somewhat) accepted and so on to a relatively poor country with little employment prospects?

Don't worry - the decision about Poland's share will be made by the EU after the election.

No. They will find new ones for Poland so that they can reach the 160,000 quota.

Aha, I meant to reply to that!

Yes, I know what you mean. I've got a Syrian friend here in Poznań, and he always remarks how tolerant Syria was. It's the same story with Bosnia all over again - they simply don't want such liberal ideas "infecting" their paradise.
