Poland under pressure of EU to accept more asylum seeking refugees

Polonius3

Poland will leave EU

I don't think it will any time soon. But since I'm no big-scroll-back fan, I noticed that a while back someone posted an item about how the EU's main contributors are no great altruists but are self-serving all the way. Cheap Polish manpower enables capitalist exploiters to reduce expenses and increase profits.

Does anyone know of a study or analysis that has drawn up a balance-sheet showing whetehr Poland or any other country is a net benificiary or not.

EU financial aid would haev to be balanced out agaisnt the above-mentioned and other benefits obtained by Western busienss.

That would be very difficult. How do you measure the "net worth" of Poles who would've been unemployed at home, but found work in another country and sent money back to Poland? How do you calculate the financial benefits that foreign investment brought to Poland?

yes it will [leave the EU] once the money dries up, bit like drilling for oil, time to move onto the next well, cant blame them.

Which is going to be the next well? Russia?

Why not? closer economic ties with Russia and other Slavic countries (and greater focus on export outside Europe, china, india etc) could be good for Poland.

i really really hate this development around Poland. Now when Russia obviously positively changing its strategy on Poland, one would expect that would western European countries rejoice, as loyal Polish friends and themselves increase effort to support Poland to be more independent, more free, in situation to achieve greater profit from its new strategic situation. But no, west of Europe now proving itself as the real enemy of Poland, while seams that Russia in Polish history played role of part-time elephant in glass shop.

NO FUGEES IN POLAND!!!
Foreign minister of Poland W.Waszczykowski just said that Poland will follow international law in regard to refugee crisis. He made it clear that Syrians migrants in EU are according to international law economic immigrants and Poland will treat them as such. First good move from new government!

Breaking news, Africa is REFUSING to take back failed asylum seekers.

dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3315183/Migrant-summit-chaos-African-countries-REFUSE-Europe-s-failed-asylum-seekers.html

The chaotic and pathetic EU project is mortally wounded.

So lets see if I understand, the EU is to pay various countries in Africa more than 1Billion Euros to take back their own citizens that are illegally in another country and have failed to prove that they need asylum, absolutely beyond words. Imagine I smuggle my way into say Russia, when they catch/find me how long before they just kick me out, maybe a week, put me in a truck and just drop me off at the border and wish me bon voyage.

Send some to Poland, as I've said many times, they won't stay long, not enough ''free'' stuff.

Lets just think of one basic need, language, 1 million people, average class size, say 10, average of 3 lessons per week, teacher works 6 hours per day, you suddenly need 50,000 teachers just to teach the language of which ever country they end up in.

Looks like time to buy a big gun, sit in a hole in the ground and wait for them to come walking towards me.

@Kenny: In Europe, when someone is to be expelled, their country of origin has to accept them back and that's the reason why a lot of migrants destroy their docs upon arrival. Of course officials most often can figure out where the person is from but it may take a while... I am NOT talking about the current situation with refugees but in general.

In my opinion, we'll have a lot of "laughs" with what our politicians are up to....

I find it depressing that our leaders, who are supposed to LEAD are doing nothing except wringing their hands at yet another conference, this time in Malta.

The recent demonstrations in Warsaw, with 50,000 turning out show that govts have COMPLETELY lost touch with their people.

How much longer will the tail have to wag the dog for before clear and decisive action is taken?

They can`t do any harm to Poland! Poland is out of their reach.

For now, maybe, but not forever. The people-escalator is working overtime to flood Europe with its conquerors. Aided and abetted by our "leaders".

No, Poland is awaken. It would be hard but, Poles would know how to protect Poland. Plus, Poles aren`t alone.

disgusting...

"Polish teacher: How many migrants must be pushed overboard for boat to float?"
"To the teacher, the assignment was a simple question of physics"
"The students' assignment? To calculate how many Syrian refugees had to be thrown overboard for the boat to stay afloat and reach Greece."

"Polish teacher: How many migrants must be pushed overboard for boat to float?"

well, let us ask author of the article what is the purpose of this article. If its just info, ok then. Crazy and stupid people everywhere. Or shall we now conclude that author (sponsor of the author) of the article wants us to conclude how is Polish society sick, racist and anti-progressive and that would be much better that Poland don`t exist or that won`t be surprise if more progressive (pro-western Europe) parts of Poland one day secede from Poland?

So, let us author of the article just tell us what we need to think, so that we, as good robots, immediately comply and accept all what he wants us to believe.

Crazy and stupid people everywhere.

There are indeed Crow, but this 'assignment ' was set by a Polish teacher of Physics.
What on earth sort of example do you think that is to set? Teachers are supposed to be professionals, at the very least it's in appalling taste.

Somehow I don't think he'll be doing it again in a hurry! He was lucky he didn't get fired. Who knows if she agreed with him, but maybe she thought he had learned his lesson.

@Chemi: in any western country, he would have been fired.

What makes you think he should be fired? He hasn't done anything wrong! If you want (edited) you are in the wrong part of Europe dude!

On a related news French policemen cry about being assaulted by migrants in Calais on a daily basis. LOL, 2 platoons of ZOMO would take of those migrants in a matters of hours. Maybe Frenchies should ask mr.Assad to send them some Askarija reinforcements. My buddy who served in UN contingent on Golan hights told me that szuszwole were running away like rats when they saw askarija jeep approaching.

With the current problems in Europe (french border lock down) , and with the influx of 6 million people into Germany, Is it not time to put border fencing and guards on our border with germany. to avoid any possible UNLAWFUL entry of people (regardless of race color or nationality or religion) into Poland

More funding and training is also needed for militias / police in the border area.

(french border lock down)

Current evidence suggests that it isn't anything of the sort. There are controls on some crossings, but not all.

Is it not time to put border fencing and guards on our border with germany. to avoid any possible UNLAWFUL entry of people (regardless of race color or nationality or religion) into Poland

No. For a start, there's no evidence of any threat coming from Germany to Poland. Secondly, mobile controls are far more effective. 99.9% of people crossing the PL/D border routinely are white and speak either Polish or German.

delphiandomine "99.9% of people crossing the PL/D border routinely are white and speak either Polish or German"

What has color race or language got to do with my post, criminals and illegals cross all of these boundaries, I would not want a wanted murderer or terrorist wombling across the border into my village.

14 Nov 2015  #1,556

And you think that economically, it's feasible to check every single person crossing the border? Even before Schengen and Polish membership of the EU, controls were often very light - the sheer traffic flow means that it's impossible to check every person.

The problem with Schengen is that the idea (a strong outer core, a mobile and flexible inner core) has been shown to be unworkable in practice if the countries on the outer shell can't protect the border.

2 terrorists were Belgian citizens (just heard on tv) and at least one Syrian passport found. You guys, be realistic! Why should islamists threaten Poland? Poland is no world power and has no direct role in world and that area's politics. France has been directly involved in area for years and recently started to heavily bomb over there and as a result is their no.1 target in Europe (not new, French authorities and population have known it for years and people have lived with idea and have become used of being controlled, to have their belongings checked in stores and other buildings). IS which have acknowledged full fatherhood of attacks claim last night's "events" result from France bombing them and Charlie Hebdo's caricatures (it seems they cannot get over it ;)). Islamists may attack Germany, Britain and maybe Belgium, Sweden ... but not other countries. What for? It is not even .... mediatic ;).

I do agree that it would be difficult to control and check all border traffic.

But more money could be spent on intelligence led, targeted checks, also a very highly visible border defense force (with random stop searches) would act as a deterent

I am concerned that many millions of people are entering Europe With no documentation and previous criminal records for the authorities to refer to. I think poland has to worry more about the potential criminal elements rather than purely terrorism.

Unless the crime is committed by light Syrians - they will stick out.

No matter how many "chocolate babies" are being brought over from the UK by failed "Polish women"
