Poland under pressure of EU to accept more asylum seeking refugees

Dougpol1
14 Nov 2015  #1,591

it is now impossible for Poland and quite a few others to accept a single migrant

Nonsense Delph. A very nice Syrian family sell bric a brac in Gdynia market. They didn't come here on a scheduled flight. There will always be refugees to established democracies and long may be it be so.

Poland will take her quotas like everybody else. This knee jerk reaction is to be expected and feeds hate, but there is no greater hate than "Poland for the Poles."

I wouldn't bet on it now. Society is clearly against it, and as much as I despise that bloody "Polska dla Polaków" statement, PiS are not going to risk giving any power to Kukiz and his dodgy collection of friends.

Having said that, seemingly the US has brokered some deal to bring elections within 18 months in Syria.

So what do we do with the European refugees in the meantime. Let's force Szymanski and his gang to spend one night in a tent with a thin blanket and with no hot food and ask them how they feel in the morning.

Right wing scum bringing shame on my adopted country and it's great tradition for tolerance.

dougpo, when you say "Right wing scum" are you referring to the new government that we voted in,, just wondering?

Dougpol1
15 Nov 2015  #1,595

Right wing scum"

I am referring to the Hawks in the government, yes. About half of the cabinet are confirmed right wingers, Szymanski among them, although economic policy remains firmly to the left. The Prime minister, for example, being left-wing, according to Dziennik's hypothesis of the 13th of November.

Poland will take her quotas like everybody else

If PiS government will do it they are for a raw ride as they don't have support of the post-commies establishment and then they would alienate a chunk their supporters plus people who voted them just because they promised not to take in Muslim illegals, plus right wing parties will have a go right away at them instead of giving them time.

Plus there are other countries of the region who put their food down and expect the new government of Poland to do the same. Some promised have been made already.

Plus after Paris it would be a suicide.

but there is no greater hate than "Poland for the Poles."

I think is a very good slogan that get into heart of the matter. The point is Doug you just don't get it being a foreigner. Well it is not your fault but turning rabid due to something you don't get - is.

Right wing scum bringing shame on my adopted country and it's great tradition for tolerance.

Well Doug we are tolerating you, that's more than you could except anywhere else with your attitude.

Dougpol1

Well it is not your fault but turning rabid due to something you don't get - is.

I happen to think that all respectable people - the HUGE majority of Poles - will turn against such hateful rhetoric such as Szymanski has been quick to voice.

It's a matter of a proper upbringing, and caring for others less better off than yourselves. Like the Polish brothers my family took in for two summers in 1968 and 69 for example......... they had absolutely nothing in terms of what we had , and were like complete aliens. Fantastic elder "brothers" though.

Every country gets what it deserves, and Poland will regret voting in these xenophobes.

there have NEVER been attacks from Africans in France ;).

You should remember about 2005 riots. 8973 cars was damaged and 126 Police and firefighters injured.

Exactly that numbers !

2 kids died like being chased by the police after doing stupid things (trying to steal a car?)

Stealing a car is not stupid thing - it's serious offense (in Poland).
No matter what background. France defended themselves against attacks from Africans for 20 !!! nights in 2005.

They are POLES who destroy half of the city (I used to live in Centrum, not far from Marszałkowska and Konstitucji so I could see from my Windows), who beat up people every year on Nov. 11.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Does it disturb you in Poland but not in France?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

They don't destroy half of the city as you said, they don't beat up people - just Police special forces using gas and plastic bullets against them.

They don't destroy any cars except TVN broadcast vehicle.
They are in Poland - their own country, so they can demonstrate freely, unfortunately PO government limited their rights.

delphiandomine

More nonsense. They destroyed a lot, and even if they destroyed one single car, it's one too many.

They are in Poland - their own country, so they can demonstrate freely, unfortunately PO government limited their rights.

And you think PiS will tolerate them smashing up a single thing? Don't be ridiculous.

Frau Merkel, I don't want your stupid "condoleances" but I want you to resign and to be judged for crimes against humanity and I'm sure at least 99.99 of the French feel same way I do

Your reaction is understandable, but way out of line. Besides: it seems that your claim that muslims in France are not a problem doesn't hold any water:

Quote:
"Surveillance files have been opened on more than 5,000 suspected Islamic extremists in France, but security services only have the manpower and resources to monitor a small fraction of these numbers 24/7. Around 1,000 have traveled to Syria and Iraq to fight jihad or are in transit there, and those are just the ones French authorities know about. The numbers are staggering. More than 500 French nationals are fighting with jihadi groups in Syria and Iraq, 137 have been killed, 250 have returned, 300 are in transit and 700 extremists in France are seeking to travel, according to official French figures from last month."

unfortunately PO government limited their rights.

In the modern world making a compliant is regarded offensive. Mass killing in terroristic attacks on the other hand is considered inevitable and as the things just are.

what are you talking about? New Polish government will not give in to demands of few big bullies in the EU - I hope.

and Poland will regret voting in these xenophobes.

Are talking about "Poland for Poles" and confusing it with PiS.

"We'll accept (refugees only) if we have security guarantees. This is a key condition, and today a question mark has been put next to it all around Europe"

So what are you going to do with the refugees?

What are you going to do with the "refugees"? How many of the 10,000 a day entering Europe do you want to settle in Poland? How do you propose vetting them? What do you think they can do to make a living? How will they be housed?

You're very quick to jump on your self-righteous horse but you don't seem to have any concrete policy proposals beyond doing whatever the technocrats in Brussels want.

@Maf: remember that Frau Angela has invited 6 million people at home so it must be HER job to provide them with accommodation, food, health care, school, jobs...

@Nothanks: officially 1 was French but I agree, it was 1 too many...

I think it is only fair that Germany pays compensation to EU states for the damage caused by its migrant policy (zero vetting open door to all policy ) which has given a green light for people wanting to come to Europe.

Polonious: We don't have to worry anymore about liberal leftist loonies in Poland making the same mistakes that Germany's failed asylum (let any criminal terrorist in ) policy,

As of today their are no leftist liberals with any power in Poland, we simply did not vote ANY of them in.

InPolska
15 Nov 2015  #1,609

@Dolno: how do you expect Germany to give compensation to other EU countries for the big mess? Merkel is the EU and all the others have to say "amen". Germany also owes billions of Euros to Greece in war compensation and the Greeks know that they'll never see a single grosz (not to mention all the Greek art pieces stolen by the nazis)

The 2 passports found on Friday night are going to hurt Merkel and may force her to resign (tomorrow like every Monday, there'll be a demonstration in (?) Dresden and I'm scarred that it goes wild because of the Paris attacks). I have French tv on right now and they all focus on these 2 passports ... I bet that Kaszynski shall use the 2 passports too ;)

It won't be long till Mama Merkel and her puppy, Hollande, walk through the streets of carnage Paris holding hands in solidarity against the terrorists, aka, recent arrivals, taking selfies and posting to Facebook and Twitter.

Meanwhile, in other parts of the city, Muslims praying to Allah and kissing the Qur'an prasing the killings, sniggering and laughing at Europe and its stupid liberal approach!!.

Fools never learn !!.

I read through the "original" posts of this thread before most of them were edited, deleted, removed, and buried elsewhere.
At the beginning of this thread many here tried in vein to explain what islam is all about which is either you accept islam or die.

That is what ALL of Islamic Muslims believe in, not just some as portrait here.
The people who tried to expose this truth were beaten down with words like racist, bigots, etc. when we explained why Poland should stand strong against the pressure of Merkel to accept them.

Some at first even suggested that they were willing to take into their homes these Muslim refugees (invaders) which seems to have quickly faded as being a smart idea.

The point I want to make is that this thread sure has taken a 180 degree turn since it's start with jon and Polysr (who have gone stone silent) and a few others posting what a great idea this was to allow this invasion of Muslims that believe you either convert or die mentality into the European culture.

Poland stood up and marched and voiced their opinion of NO, We Don't Want The Problems They Bring With Them nor their culture nor their religion.

Poland was under pressure yet they waited it out for the inevitable to happen as many here tried in vain to enlighten the Progressive Liberals here what a bad idea Poland was being pressured with.

I am glad that FINALLY the true colors of the Islamic agenda has risen to enlighten the people here who have had their heads buried in the sand trying to promote the liberal approach that obviously has backfired at a horrible expense in lives and money.

Can't believe what I'm hearing (BBC) Merkel still believes she has a moral duty to offer a helping hand to the ''refugees'' I would think she has more of a moral duty to protect both Germans and the people of Europe. The pain being felt in Paris is evidence that Merkel's madness didn't work.

If Poland was given under the ''quota'' system say 7,000 refugees, what would the reaction be by Polish nationals, could it be that the attitude towards them would be such that the refugees would simply be made to feel so uncomfortable they would leave pretty dam quick, or do we think they would be made to feel welcome?

johnny reb, agree, funny how all the tree huggers have gone quiet, If people genuinely need help, I'll help you.

Whatever is motivating Merkel, it has _nothing_ to do with the welfare of German citizens (or the citizens of any other German ally - see her dismantling of democracy in Greece).

what would the reaction be by Polish nationals, could it be that the attitude towards them would be such that the refugees would simply be made to feel so uncomfortable they would leave pretty dam quick, or do we think they would be made to feel welcome?

I have no doubt that almost all of them will leave for Germany as they would likely prefer to live off the grid there than try to subsist on miserly Polish aid in an environment that's filled with things they regard as immoral (pork, alcohol, casual socializing between men and women for starters).

Polish people do not want any refugees, instead we would like: more work, more hospital beds, more justice, better health system, resurrection of the educational system.

Do us a favour Johnny...

I was at a service in Rabka where the priest banged on about catholicism and how if you did not get down on your knees and beg God's forgiveness for your pitiful sins you would burn in brimstone for all of eternity.

He didn't mention other religions because the way he ranted they would be burnt in brimstone while still on this earth:)

My wife muttered away and when the service was over I thought I heard her mouth the word "c@@@" - only in Polish - obviously....

ALL religious fundamentalists are as bad as each other - and us normal human beings generally stay the **** away from them, and let them play with their genitals.

Islam is NO different to any of the rest in that it has it's nutters, and so do other religions. And that's a fact , not an opinion. Why else does the US send drones against wedding parties in Afghanistan?

Whatever is motivating Merkel

IMHO Merkel and other German politicians are still trying to live down the Hitler era and prove to the world that today's German is modern, farsighted, humanitarian, compassionate, altruistic and does not have a single Nazi bone or gene in his make-up.

Comments about refugee crisis, but not tight related to Poland please write in the "IF EU let refugees to Europe" thread. Thank you.

What a stupid post - coming from a Pole - whose language doesn't have a real meaning for the word "Sorry."

I definitely have NEVER heard a Pole use it and mean it.

The Germans have been using that word almost non-stop for the last 70 years. But that's not good enough for you hypocritical xenophobes, who don't know the meaning of the word. Poles bought Jurelzelski's books in the millions. When did that criminal ever say sorry?

DO NOT ever criticise the Germans again like that Polonius - I am not having it.

I did do us a favor and told you exactly what islam is all about and why Poland does not want to be pressured to accept it in Poland.

Your Brit brilliance on religion is poor at the best to go TOTALLY off thread with your rant.
How about you do us a favor Dougless and stay on thread.
