Poland under pressure of EU to accept more asylum seeking refugees

Polsyr

Relatively to GCC countries Poland is poor

And relative to Central African Republic Poland is 30 times richer. Two can play this game.

Dougpol1

Still, Poland needs to pay the bill and accept all illegal immigrants. Doesnt sound fair.

Levi - you're not even Polish. And Brazilians too are net emigration - so I suggest you learn some humility to go with all the money you brag about earning in Saudi.

I know of an old British guy here who loves giving it large about the same.

He was a consultant in building their prisons...........................

And get educated about the problem, as to the diverse nature of the refugees fleeing from war. I humbly suggest you might start here:

"And relative to Central African Republic Poland is 30 times richer. Two can play this game."

That is why no one is asking Central African Republic to pay for the illegal immigrants arriving via Mediterranean. (Yes, i know that they also have their refugees, but is Poland that is being so pressured by international media).

" Levi - you're not even Polish. And Brazilians too are net emigration"

So Levi cannot talk about Poland and cannot be against illegal immigration because he is Brazilian?

It is funny when you accuse someone of racism when the true racist is actually you.

Remember the Democrats in USA saying that all Blacks should vote for Democrats or they would be traitors. Or Anna Grodzka saying that is unreasonable any gay vote for PiS, that they MUST vote for her.

"so I suggest you learn some humility"

Be against ILLEGAL immigration is not lack of humility.

Be against ILLEGAL immigration is not racism.

As the american senator Marco Rubio said (being from immigrant background himself), everytime that a ILLEGAL immigrant refuses to complies with the law (otherwise they would not be called illegals) and still receives benefits,

This is a slap in the face of us, LEGAL immigrants.

All legal immigrants are those that should be FIERCELY against ILLEGAL immigration, since they needed to pass through inumerous procedures and prove their capacity to have residency. And now they produce and contribute with their skills to the country that host them.

Meantime, a ILLEGAL immigrant comes and gets taxpayer money in a country that have one of the lowests income of all european union???

How is that fair?

Why should Poland and the Poles pay the burden of Africa?

France, Britain and Germany should accept at least half of the illegal migrants in Poland. That over pure EUphilian solidarity

jon357
22 Jun 2015  #186

Well actually, Crowie, they've all accepted far more in the past and will be accepting far more of the current tranche. The number proposed - and this includes Poland - is calculated on quite a precise basis.

Crow

they've all accepted far more in the past

good, good. Its their doing. Their colonial past coming to them as boomerang

and will be accepting far more of the current tranche.

That is what i call justice

The number proposed - and this includes Poland - is calculated on quite a precise basis.

what bases? what Poland have with former French, British and German colonies? Actually, Poland itself played role of their colony.

So, forget those ugly calculations.

Levi

"what bases? what Poland have with former French, British and German colonies? Actually, Poland itself played role of their colony."

Exactly Crow!

POLAND NEVER PROFITED FROM THEIR COLONIAL PASTS!

Differently than the ex-colonial powers, Poland have 0 responsibility over Africa or Middle East.

Poland is a poor country compared to other EU countries and EU wants to use Poland as the dumpster of Europe repopulating Poland with Illegal immigrants and constraining the Poles to avoid them having kids.

Ultimately, what they want is the destruction. Complete destruction of polish people and polish culture.

I agree - why should Poland take on the result of a violent colonial history in which they played no part?
this one is down to the UK and France, like it or not - well and the USA but they are 'over the pond'.
Also there do not seem to be enough jobs to go round just for Polish people let alone thousands more.

Polsyr
22 Jun 2015  #190

@rozumiemnic; Poland issued or extended 331 thousand work visas to Ukrainian nationals alone in 2014. Someone in a statistically informed (or misinformed) position seems to think that Poland needs more foreign workers. If you live in Poland, then you will notice that there are some jobs that Poles today are not inclined to perform, and that outside of official governmental statistics, there are many Poles (and foreigners) employed under the table.

Nonsense, and you know it. Lowest rate of unemployment for a generation :)

Lowest rate of unemployment for a generation

No wonder when millions of Poles have left the country for greener pastures. Is the low unemployment rate across all professions, or does it only look good for skilled workers?

The most generously subsidised tax payers in Europe.

Such foolishness doesn't even warrant response.

Its their doing. Their colonial past coming to them as boomerang

I would say that more than colonial past they should own up to their fairly recent meddling into Syrian and Libyans affairs, destabilizing the region and creating problem of a new wave of the refugees.

Half of my classmates

Why don't you share your gossip with a bunch of nice washerwomen, I'm sure they will appreciate your input.

@vox, if you write off everything you don't agree with as foolish then you might want to take a look in the mirror to see the real fool.

" Lowest rate of unemployment for a generation :)"

well that is hardly surprising when half of Poland's youth (youth as in under 60s) would appear to be in London and the rest of UK.

That is merely an observation not a criticism before anyone starts.

No one cared about the effect of mass Polish immigration to the UK on the British people, but as a member of the EU we can do NOTHING about it.

So like any other nation Poland will do as it is told and take on whatever immigrants it is asked, you can't cherry pick here and there for it only to benefit Poland and the Polish.

"No one cared about the effect of mass Polish immigration to the UK on the British people"

The effects of Poles immigrating to UK was extremelly positive for UK. They are decent law abiding citizens in positions that the brits refuse. and they went LEGALLY.

Those people coming from countries dominated by radical islam like Sudan (A Salafist country) is a total different situation.

but as a member of the EU we can do NOTHING about it.

Remember we in both Poland and the UK voted to join, we signed up voluntarily and we are represented in the European Parliament. Quit the whining about being powerless - the EU is us not them.

And as a community, we have a moral duty to behave decently to the people who have landed on the shores of our Union.

Tell me Levi, these jobs that Brits supposedly refuse to do, who did them before Pole's came to the UK ? I mean someone had to have done them, who was it ?.

Decent law abiding citizens ! .lol...oh they would be because they Pole's and Polish people don't commit crime in other nations or in Poland and then come and hide in the UK.

I tell you why you don't want these immigrants, its because they are black.

Levi

"I tell you why you don't want these immigrants, its because they are black."

Chechens are as white as candles. And if they come as illegal, they should also be treated as illegals.

So dont play the racist card. It is lame.

How do you feel about Muslim immigrants coming to Poland legally?

jon357
23 Jun 2015  #202

I tell you why you don't want these immigrants, its because they are black.

I suspect there's a lot of that, favouring one group over another and deep-rooted but irrational prejudice about some.

Decent law abiding citizens ! .lol...oh they would be because they Pole's and Polish people don't commit crime in other nations or in Poland and then come and hide in the UK.

Remember that some of those forced to leave their country (and this includes economic migrants to Poland/UK, refugees etc) are coming from an environment with problems that don't vanish from their mindsets the day they cross the border.

Chechens are as white as candles

So Syrian refugees are black now?

Nonsense, and you know it. Lowest rate of unemployment for a generation :)

Have you even been to Poland(outside of Warsaw)? There are places with 30-40%unemployment, and these are not single cases.

Poland issued or extended 331 thousand work visas to Ukrainian nationals alone in 2014

How many of them were for seasonal jobs?do you know?

Levi

"Nonsense, and you know it. Lowest rate of unemployment for a generation :)"

Go to Bialystok and say that. People will laugh at your face.

Is very easy preach that Poland have full employment living in Poznan or Wroclaw.

"How do you feel about Muslim immigrants coming to Poland legally?"

As long as they are law abiding and arrive legally, as long as they dont try to enforce Sharia Law, subjugating woman as animals, as long as they dont say a word about my beer and my pork as long as they dont try to convert my kids, as long as they dont burn cars in the streets, as long as they dont put a minarete playing nasheeds at high volume at 3 am in front of my window....

I am ok. And i think that most people will also be ok.

"So Syrian refugees are black now?"

Exactly what i tough, in general... levantines are whiter than me or other mediterranean looked people.

Yep. Lived in Katowice for 20 years. And if people in the wilds of Zaglebia can get up at 5 a.m. to travel long distances to work, so can people in Poland B.

Or do they expect the work to come to them?

wino
23 Jun 2015  #206

Being too lazy to get up at 5 am is not why people remain unemployed or in poverty. It is a daily routine of many of my friends that live on the outskirts of Warsaw and work in the capital.

You actually think that is the problem? How about very low wages, no means of commuting to work from rural towns and villages and not enough money to rent a place near work? How about there is still simply a high rate of unemployment and not enough jobs for everyone?

I know one guy who lived in Kudowa Zdroj and worked in Wrocław, to be able to do that he spent most of his time on railway station and this was where he mostly slept, the things he told me sounded straight from Bareja movie and this was only about two years ago and not in the poorest area.

Frankly, you sound very ignorant.

Poland should only allow people who bother to learn the language and adapt to the culture stay.
The illegals and the people who dont adapt should be given the boot.
Allow guests from other countries but give them a time limit to stay.

Does that go for lazy scrounging Pole's who come to the UK and don't adapt? I could find you hundreds who don't integrate and stay in thier own little Polish group.

Britain can do as they please when they leave EU, but you forget that Britain wanted multiculturalism.
