If recent surveys are an indication it's because they lack a sense of purpose and meaning in their lives. They feel lonely. That type of stuff.

It's not just America, Europe also has high antidepressant usage.

I've got a sense that the West is going to be a much scarier place in the next 20-25 years.

Add to this a degree of affluence that eliminates the need to go to work and you have a generation of idle minds desperately looking for those 15 minutes of fame.

In the US, even 14-year-olds can be tried as adults. Unfortunately, they cannot be executed.

Does one have to be at "mass" for it to be a "mass shooting"? Or can a simple shooting that takes place while a "mass" is ongoing, but not actually to participants of the "mass" count? What qualifies as a "mass" though? Does prayers as the mosque, or synagogue count or does it have to be a "mass" of Christianity? Really confusing when you think about it. Maybe we should simply look at shooting of large groups of people as having nothing to do with "mass" and everything to do with people having mental diseases, or criminal behavior?

So I am still trying to find out what he meant by "mass shootings" and how many died to see what is exponential about them.
