My references to the American past are spot on since nothing has changed from the days of Korea and Vietnam.
In fact, it got worse and the slime gave us two more Vietnams: one in Iraq and the other one in Afghanistan. To their credit, "only" 7000 Americans died in the process of spreading democracy there.
Russia publicly apologized for Katyn and, as far as I know, Putin himself went to the Katyn monument. Germany did the same for their sins. That is why treating both as if things are the same would be insane.
In some sick sense, the crime of Katyn was less than the crime of Vietnam. At least the Soviets killed what they saw as an enemy - 20,000 Polish officers. US government along with the American MIC sent 58,000 Americans to their death because they were draftable, young, and fit. And to make a quick buck from selling weapons and, later, from writing books. Nobody was executed Nuremberg-style.
Last point. Normal countries are ill prepared to wage aggressive and remote wars. Russia is one of them. It is well equipped to defend itself, though.
As I said a while back, if Germany went for a repeat of 1941, that war would last 30 minutes. That's why Russia is failing in the war with the US in Ukraine - the US being the only country that spends billions (40% of the world's total) to maintain its aggressive capability, worldwide. Like with Russia, any conventional attack on the US would last 30 minutes. No, we don't need 11 aircraft carriers for this job.
