What are you talking about? I'm not a mod on this forum, so what "chores" am I supposed to do? I've been trying to abide to increasingly insane rules on this forum, but first you have to know those rules in order to abide to them. Unfortunately, Admin seems to be changing them as he goes without informing about it. I found out just yesterday from Admin, only after he edited my post, that apparently only one quote is allowed per post. Which is not really true, because there are comments being posted with more than one quote. So I guess the number of quotes allowed in a particular post depends on Admin's whims - if he likes the quotes used or not, if he deems them necessary or not. And how am I supposed to know what quotes he likes or deems necessary? Sorry, but this is insane and not normal modding at all. Especially that he removed perfectly valid quotes from my posts and it left my posts being confusing.

In the commercial, the boy wasn't doing chores either, but he was upset at his mom when she was doing the mom's job. It can be annoying or "unfair" at times but I prefer someone to do the job 8 times out of 10 times right than not to do it at all as we'd end up swimming in dirt.

I don't know but I personally take the meat of the message I want to quote and that works for me. I see some posters (not you but possibly some people in the past) would quote 80% of the message just to refer to a sentence in the middle of the quote.

Logic 101- what you are referring to is word limit in a quote- that is dealt with automatically.

And when I see a big block of text without any quotes I don't feel like reading it. I'm a visual person and I prefer some quotes dividing such post. If I want to read a book, I read a book and not an internet forum. But, of course, I understand that everybody's different and there are people who don't mind reading such posts. That's why I'm not telling other people that they should include quotes in their comments. To each their own.
