Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 6

Big deal...

No problem. Shot down by dozens each night by Patriot interceptors that is slower than pseudo-random maneuvring target. This is what sacred democracy allows you to do. ;)

Before I sign off...The probability that Russia will give up CDL voluntarily or by force in the next 100 years is the same as the US giving up Alaska, Hawaii, or Florida.

@Velund
And those Patriots were destroyed as well right? Meanwhile in the real war, the "damaged" Patriot unit never came off line, and is fully operational while being repaired in the field.

When will Russia take Bakhmut?

hypersonic

All British, French and American ICBMs have a hypersonic stage.

This is nothing new.

PolAmKrakow
18 May 2023  #125

The thing about those hypersonic missiles is that speed does not equate to elusiveness. Speed only enhances the ability to destroy a potential target more quickly. The proper defense will measure speed and be able to take it out. All the talk about hypersonic missiles being able to change direction has not proven to be true yet in the field since they have been shot down without changing direction. Or can the Patriots just track and change direction while tracking? Clearly the hypersonics have been shot down, maybe in smaller numbers, but still at least some have been shot down. So the threat of them is not as much of a threat as it once was, and Russia doesn't have thousands of them to throw at Ukraine.

Cant wait to see those museum piece tanks rolling out into the field for Abrams to cut through like butter latter this summer. I am definitely investing in a scrap metal company in Ukraine this year. Lots of scrap to process for sure. Think of all the steel Russia is leaving behind to rebuild Ukraine. All the Russians who died delivering this new steel so Ukraine can be rebuilt. Financed by all the other financial assets taken from Russia. That is some poetic justice.

When will Russia take Bakhmut?

When will Russia take Bakhmut?

Give them more time, PolAm. They've been trying to capture it for only about a year now, and - after all - it's a huge metropolis surrounded by high mountains on one side and protected by the sea on the other.

No... wait a minute...

...it's a sh*tty, tiny, completely landlocked town. The 2nd army in the world? WTF?

An interesting article in today's Telegraph by a former British Army Colonel, Richard Kemp, who writes It's behind a paywall so I hope PF don't mind me making a slightly longer quote than normal. It's about the 'massive' attack on Kyiv a few days ago.

In half an hour the city was attacked from the north, south and east. In came ballistic missiles, Iranian Shahed loitering drones, Kalibr 'hypersonic' cruise missiles launched from warships in the Black Sea, and Kinzhal hypersonic missiles fired from MiG-31K fighter planes.

The result of this tremendous firepower was nothing short of abject humiliation for Putin.

I watched as Ukraine's combined air defence forces, including American Patriots and German Gepards, seemingly knocked every Russian missile out of the sky. Just three people were injured by falling rocket debris, there was minimal physical damage and - by daylight - the city had returned to normal as though nothing had happened

It's clear that nothing the r*SSians are doing is working.

Putin is about to lose his immunity from attack supply lines now that Ukraine has British Missiles that can reach them.
No more safe rear areas for Russia.
I posted at the beginning of this thread that it will be a great day when Putin's trophy bridge is demolished.
I have a feeling that day is very close now.

Hopefully he will be on the Telegraph Ukraine The Latest podcast today or tomorrow. I'll add another quote that I really liked from that article.

The failure of the second prong of Putin's plan - his wonder weapons - is perhaps even more damaging. When he first unveiled the Kinzhals in 2018 he claimed they could penetrate all existing and future missile defence systems.

The harsh reality underlined in the latest apparent downing of all six Kinzhals fired at Kyiv has added to questions about Russia's ability to project military power, including its nuclear arsenal, which has been the most significant factor in deterring all-out Western support for Ukraine.

US and European hesitancy over donating some of the much-needed weaponry for fear of escalation is being steadily overcome as Russia's impotence becomes increasingly apparent.

@amiga500
And Putin just had all the major players who designed the Kinzhals arrested for espionage. Could that have something to do with the fact that they can be shot down? More than likely. Look for scientists falling from windows and balconies in a city near you. How fvcking predictable is this moron?

Meanwhile, Ukraine keeps making more gains in and around Bakhmut. Taking kilometers of land back in days that it took Russia months to gain. Pushing the definsive lines back further. Soon little Vlad is going to have to make a choice of where to stack his men up to defend. When that happens some places in the line will weaken and then Ukraine will strike.

When will Russia take Bakhmut?

Why should it? Ukraine is about to cease existing as a country and in its present shape is not admissible to NATO so the main mission has been accomplished. What's left is clean up.

The next step: get the Western warmongers tired the way Western warmongers got tired in V and A.

When will Russia take Bakhmut?

When will Western powers, with a 20 to 1 advantage come to Ukraine's rescue? Too scared or afraid that the war would end too soon?

When will Russia take Bakhmut?

In a few days or even hours according to this article:

wiadomosci.wp.pl/zostala-tylko-jedna-ulica-bachmut-w-99-proc-w-rosyjskich-rekach-6899280188156832a

According to "Bild" the Wagner Group broke through and 99% of the city is in RuSSian hands.

In a few days or even hours according to this article:

You are lying. Ukraine is winning and the UA is about to reclaim Crimea. That's according to the PF military experts.

Paulina

While I was googling for some more info about it I've stumbled upon this article from March this year - also based on info gathered by "Bild":

kyivindependent.com/bild-zaluzhnyi-and-zelensky-have-conflicting-views-on-bakhmut/

'"The vast majority of soldiers in Bakhmut do not understand why the city is being held," a Ukrainian military analyst told Bild on condition of anonymity.'

Another Ukrainian military analyst said that:

"The decision to keep Bakhmut was a good one, but they overdid it."

Also:

"U.S. Defense Secretary Loyd Austin told journalists during a trip to Jordan on March 6 that Bakhmut was more of "symbolic" than "strategic" value for the Ukrainian military and that he didn't think Ukraine's potential troop withdrawal would cause any major setbacks for the course of the war."

all the major players who designed the Kinzhals arrested for espionage

What a stupid thing to do.... no wonder no intelligent person wants anything to do with the primitive violent mindset that is 'russian'... honestly those folks deserved everything they got in the 1990s and deserve what's going to be happening to them...

sheep not human beings....

Ukraine is about to cease existing as a country

Tell me you're dumb enough to belive RT without telling me you're dumb enough to believe RT....

When Russians withdraw, it's a major setback. When Ukrainians withdraw, it's "symbolic". I wonder if the U widows feel the same way.

Tell me you're dumb enough to believe RT

Tell me you are dumb enough to believe what's coming from the DC swamp and their lapdogs. I will take RT over the Guardian every second of the day without any hesitation.

Hey, Euros, how about helping your Ukrainian brothers and sisters (if there are any left) without checking first with Washington? You have all you need without waiting for more.

BTW, do you realize that according to recent estimates, there are only 20 million Ukrainians left in Ukraine and, based on the pics, the country is inhabitable?

This means that the 10 million that left are not coming back. Just as I said way back...

Paulina
18 May 2023  #140

@mafketis, thanks, I've missed this "gem" lol:

Ukraine is about to cease existing as a country

Really? "About to"? And you're basing this conviction on what exactly? :D

I wonder if the U widows feel the same way.

Judging by that info from "Bild" there's been far many RuSSian than Ukrainian widows due to that fight for Bakhmut.

Hey, Euros, how about helping your Ukrainian brothers and sisters

Poland was one of the first countries to help Ukraine and is still helping.

The vast majority of soldiers in Bakhmut do not understand why the city is being held," a Ukrainian military analyst told Bild

Apparently to grind down the r*SSIan forces and exhaust their materiel.

Euros, how about helping your Ukrainian brothers and sisters

That's pre isely what is happening, Poland, Czech and above (and first of) all the UK, who helped when some of the others believed Kyiv would fall in a week and were worrying above all about hydrocarbons..

the "damaged" Patriot unit never came off line, and is fully operational while being repaired in the field.

So why such movement of Raytheon stock after that brilliant demonstration of invincibility of their product? ;)

jon357
18 May 2023  #143

So why such

So why such a proven abject failure by r*SSia?

Velund
18 May 2023  #144

What I see on recent videos is hardly a failure... Especially in Ternopil and Odessa...

jon357
18 May 2023  #145

recent videos

You're watching the wrong videos; r*SSians lie compulsively.

There's been a serious suggestion that, after this war, Ukraine erect a monument to r*SSian military corruption since it's helped them so much.

Has the orc death toll reached 200,000 yet? It must be very close.

mafketis
18 May 2023  #146

you are dumb enough to believe what's coming from the DC swamp and their lapdogs

I don't follow any American (or British or Polish for that matter) media on Ukraine. I have a twitter feed with different channels which have either proven themselves to be reliable (or not... if you know what they're liable to lie about you can still get info....).

The few times I've given in to temptation and clicked on a mainstream headline it's something I've known about for a few days already.

I will take RT

Because you want your information totally controlled by russia.... point understood.

GefreiterKania

r*SSians lie compulsively

Yes, that's what I've been trying to explain to Bobko recently but he says they simply have "specific feelings for the truth". :)

mafketis
18 May 2023  #148

they simply have "specific feelings for the truth"

It's called 'solving cognitive dissonance through rationalizations'.....

"We're a great and respected country so it doesn't matter if we live in garbage"

"We're showing the Chechens/Hohols/Afghans! so it doesn't matter if our young men are dying"

"We have a Tsar! Why do we need human rights or dignity?"

etc etc etc

Novichok
18 May 2023  #149

Poland was one of the first countries to help Ukraine and is still helping.

Judging by the number of rude Russians with guns in Ukraine, feeding Uk kids or a dozen of volunteers is clearly not enough

Chasing Russians back to Russia is "helping". So, what do you, Western 'democracies" lack? Money, ammo, heroes, or a memo from the DC swamp?
Something is clearly holding you up...What is it?

Please don't insult me with more bs about Article 5 and WW3. The US killed a bunch of Russians in Syria and none of this was under consideration before it happened.
